BTW, did you know that Titans come stock with almost 33" tires and still spank?
Looks like an old lady was drivin that Dmax..
Seriously though, most gas powered truck owners have no idea how much power you can get out of a diesel with just a programmer. Even the generic programmers can get you another 150hp, when you get into custom tuning (EFI live, HP tuners) you can create your own tunes in the 250hp+ range.
The newer duramax's don't need much work to get into the 12's. Its mostly all in the tune. I have an 06 Duramax 4x4 with the LBZ motor, just a straight pipe and custom tuning. I feel thats probably all I'll need as I can hit 500rwhp and 900rwtq with my current set up. I was also suprised this could be done when I bought it, but I did not buy it to race, its just to hard to resist when some lame *** civic is revin his fart muffler, love it when the black smoke goes in his window.

Hell yeah man! Thats the best..I wish my truck blew out black smoke..Nothing better when a ****y *** guy comes rolling up, and you blow past him, and POOF smoke in his car...man, i love it..

My friends Tacoma that keeps up withmy titan (truck length behind) got his *** handed to him by a 8" lifted Dmax rolling 37s on 20s or 22s..i was impressed..he even gave him a length start and still pulled him

ya haven't lifted mine yet but they're still fast even spinnin 37's
the secret is just good tuning, and don't look at diesel prices when you drive by the station.
Just fill up and don't look lol
Its not that bad on the freeway though gettin 22mpg at 65mph.
I'll loose about 2mpg with 35's I've heard.
I plan on taking it to the track in irwindale soon.

Hey Braceyoself777, you've probably seen my friend jonny's 13,000lb. Kodiac spank some pretty quick cars. He's there all the time. Type in "Kodiac duramax" or "Quad-cab duallie drag" on youtube. It wont let me post links. That thing is a monster!

Dmax years and designations
01-early 04 LB7 300hp 520
04.5 to early 06 (i think) LLY 310 520
late 06 to early 07 (i think) LBZ 360 650
late 07 up LMM 360 650

most LB7's stock will dyno 240 hp not sure tq
most lbz and lmm will dyno 310 hp

only takes a small tune to get the new ones into the low 14's consistently (no tranny needed)
