Titan 2,Hemi 0.......

Coming home from up north on highway 65 at 11:00pm last night with wife, just so happened that I ended up at a red light next to a Ram Hemi ex cab.Light turned green before I got there and he sped away.I gave chase just to see how the banks and AEM would do.He was a truck ahead and heard the rumble and floored it.Lucky me here comes another red light.Stopped next to him on left lane and looked over to him.He knew it was on.I revved to 1500 when I saw yellow on the cross light.GREEN and we're off!I spun and the a** kicked out a bit then caught tracktion and started to pull away.Got to 70mph and pulled him by 4 trucks or so.Waited to see if he wanted more and sure enough comes another light. Now he's all smiling and revving.Same thing,a** kicked out again and same ending. He then did a fly by at about 90 then turned right at the next light. The wife was pumped and said I better beat that Hemi with the money I spent on the intake and exhuast.I said I would've sold the intake and exhuast if I would've lost last night.
Never thought I'd race but figured what better way to find out how strong my truck is but to race a Hemi of equal weight and option.

Re: Titan 2,Hemi 0.......

Nice TCF...Nice to see another Minnesotan in here...I think I know the "hemi" you're talking about...You were in Blaine right?? If so, that douche bag talks so much shiet and her ain got it to back up...I think he's got a hemi badged 4.7L V8 with a bunch of mods and still no where near 300 HP. One time I heard him claiming he's got a Supercharger dummy...But a real hemi can't take a titan

P.S look at the UpRev Cipher thread...Now we got 3 MNer in here and sharing might be a good idea

Good kill(s)!!

I don't think the Hemi comes in an extended cab version. I'm not knocking, I just know once certain people see it, they'll discredit your story because of it.

Again, good kill!!

Re: Titan 2,Hemi 0.......

I called it a ex cab cause I don't know what theirs are called.Like ours are called King Cab.
But I was coming from East Bethel.I didn't see a whole lot on the truck but it has the new tail lights and has that Hemi badge on the front fender which I knew had to be 04-06.I don't think there's much difference in the 04-06 as in looks.

I beat one of those 2DR Daytona HEMIs in copper with the rear wing. And I have a CC. He was a bit PO'd to say the least. I don't normally drive that way though.

They (Dodge) calls it a quad-cab.

I knew what you meant.......anybody with half a brain should. Like BKW said about others discrediting you over the correct term for the cab configuration, you always have a few idiots running around, but I wouldn't worry about them.

Re: Titan 2,Hemi 0.......

Great Kill I have been nosing arround on DT checking out their war stories and although there are a few Hemi kills Titan stories, alot of the posts are saying don't try to beat a Titan unless you are modded to the hilt! It is interesting to say the least how they actually respect the power of the Titan. It is the ones who come over here and get in our faces who need some learnin.

Re: Titan 2,Hemi 0.......

Titans will win easily. Unless the Tundra's got a supercharger. Size definately matters, 5.6L vs. 4.7L no contest. I've walked all over Tundras not even trying. Like I said before I think that tool you pulled on was just running a SLT/Base 4.7 liter Ram. 4.7s moved my 2000 Grand Cherokee around nicely but I only got 16mpg. Hence the fact why I bought a Titan though. I will indeed miss the Jeep's 4wd, none better in my opinion. Bottom line, Toyota needs to make something with atleast a 5 liter V8, lets face it no one buys a full size truck for gas mileage, otherwise I'd by a Datsun or one of those cute lil' old VW car/pickups.

Re: Titan 2,Hemi 0.......

4 truck lengths....if this is true he wasn't racing you. You may beat a Hemi...but not by 4 truck lenths.

But nice kill anyways!!

Re: Titan 2,Hemi 0.......

Maybe he let off the gas after he couldn't catch up anymore. All I know is that the minute I got traction,I kept pulling till 70.And he wasn't gaining any distance back. The wife said it was like 4 trucks. My wife don't lie. She's totally against racing and loud cars and trucks. She didn't want me to race but knew I was aching for this one since it was a Hemi.I just told her that I wanting to see how these two compared. And most definitely he was racing. If he wasn't and I floored it,4 trucks when I hit 70 would be a pretty slow TITAN.

Re: Titan 2,Hemi 0.......

I've raced F-150's new and old, Silverado's 1500s and 2500s, but never a RAM Hemi? Am I cursed?! Nice kill man. Hope that day comes where I can say....I beat a Hemi....I'm still waiting.

Maybe this is why I never raced one. Crap.
