Look like that guy put a tunnel ram on a 305. WHY!? My 71' cutlass would eat that thing alive. Oh yeah, so would the Titan. With an engine that ugly he better be putting up mid 12's , that would be that cars only redeeming quality.

Damn, i was hoping that maybe there was another Olds guy on this site!.

Mine is a 71 cutlass supreme convertible. Tan top, 50th anniversay corvette red. 355 with ported heads and performer RPM cam, intake, 750 cfm edlebrock carb. lots of other goodies.

I replaced the 350 Rocket, that had a spun bearing, with a 455 W-30 motor, re-done the heads, cam, Edelbrock intake w/ Holley DP, 4.11 posi-trac rear end, headers, w/ duals AND a rebuilt TH350 w/ TCI shift kit.

You talk about a gas guzzler!! I was young AND poor and keeping gas in it was hard. I figured I was getting between 7 & 9 mpg, city driving.

I'll have to dig out a picture and post it, if I can find one...

Is it my imagination? That (purple like Barney) Tunnel Ram looks like it's plastic. It has to be for show. I'll bet his real 2 barrell Carb is sitting under that thing, and it's just a big air filter.

Nice Buzzkill, I will have to take some pics. it is nearing the end of a long "restoration". Twins and medical school got in the way. Wish I had that W-30. Oooohhhh!!!

Is that a complete engine?
Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe things have changed since I tinkered with cars, but where's the belts?

Oh, the W-30 is a SCH-WEET motor!!

I thought the 350 Rocket was enough-it had a cam and rebuilt heads, but it wasn't even in the same UNIVERSE as the W-30.

The kicker is, I paid $450.00 for W-30 motor.

No alt.
No AC.
Electric water pump.
No need for belts. But can't drive it too long without recharching the bat.
Now that's sad. no belts and still running mid/high 14's.
That thing needs and LSx.
