Ford F150 4X4 no match!!

Well on my way to into the freeway, I see this f150 coming fast so I pull over to the right to give him the left lane. We pull to a stop light before the actual freeway light. Light turns green and he takes off and cuts in front of me. He makes a fast rolling turn onto the freeway and ignores the light. I can see that he was trying to pickup speed as he was on the freeway so I decide to open my baby at the same time. I quickly and effectively pass him without any problems before I realize I was already doing over 100!!! I let go of the gas and come down to a more conservative 80mph already about 10 car lenths infront of him and never gave him a chance again. I took another oframp onto I8 and tried to wave at him as he sped by but he did not even look over. Sore F#@&%g loser. I'll try and keep a better eye on my speed as I didn't eve realize just how fast I was going. TITAN can reallly take off.

F150

Re: Ford F150 4X4 no match!!

I test drove a f-150 with the big engine and it was a DOG. It wasn't the only reason i didn't buy the truck , but it was one of the mane ones. I could not see spending that kind of money on a truck that cant get out of it's own way.

Re: Ford F150 4X4 no match!!

The day before I bought my Titan I was looking at F150s on a Ferd lot located right next to the Nissan dealer. After an hour of extreme high pressure from the salesman I decided to test drive one, so he gets the keys to three of them and all three had dead batteries. I figured that was a bad sign and told him I would come back the next day. The next day I went to the Nissan dealer and test drove a used F150 w/ 40,000 mi on it. The tranny whined like a 2 year old, the steering was sloppy and the engine had a miss and it couldn't even get out of it's own way. If any thing would make me change my mind about the f150 that POS was it. So after test driving the Titan I own now and a couple of hours later I drove slowly by the Ferd lot and waved to mister high pressure as I drove my new baby home Scary to think I could of bought a sh!t box ferd and be spending the rest of my life on a ferd site looking for fixes... my2cents

I like the look on the new one's, but look isn't everything. I am glad I bought my Titan. Everyone gives me crap about American made. So I tell them go talk to Dodge about that!!!

Re: Ford F150 4X4 no match!!

I burn F-150's of all shapes and sizes! ANd yes, they are crap! Whats new? Only their powerstroke trucks are worth buying. But about American made.....The Nissan TITAN is American made! The engine is made in Tennesse and the truck is finally assebled at Missippi. I rather support a company from another country....that acctualy provides "us" American's with jobs, rather than shutting down plants and laying people off that have worked hard for 25 years and are thrown to the side. Is that American? How about Dodge? They use to be American until they gave our jobs to Mexico to asseble the Hemi...now...say again, The Titan isn't American made? They better reconsider their definition soon before Ford sends their jobs to China.

Re: Ford F150 4X4 no match!!

BRACEYOSELF777 I can really relate to the "American" made truck argument. Not long ago I was gassing up my Toyota Prerunner and the guy next pump over said "why don't you drive an American truck" (he was in a Ford). I told him my truck was made in California which didn't impress him too much. I asked him if I was being un-American driving a "foreign" truck and he said in a way I was. I told him I was on mid-tour leave from Iraq and going back over in a week so was I still un-American? He apologized and I told him my truck provided Americans with jobs to feed their families who cares if the profits go to Japan are you gonna see any profits from your Ford?

Actually no. The powerstroke has had more recalls then all diesels (dodge, gm) put together. Read that in my off roader mag.

Agreed! The only problem is Nissan, toyota and the like can pull out at any given time and they have NO loyalty. Being built here is a ploy to get us to buy them under the guise that they are supporting american jobs. When we all realize that Foreign is better than the others and we become dependant they will pull out and we will still buy them because it is still better than the domestic vehicles. Sad but true. Its so funny/sad Us Americans are funding the rope to hang ourselves with, no matter oil, autos, or merchandise. Enjoy the fat ride we are on now! History has proven over and over it will all come to an end 10, 20, 50 or 100 years from now it will come to an end! P.S. watch China they are sneaky!! Having said all that I still would buy the Titan because I have worked hard for my money and will buy the best truck with it period!

I haven't researched the powerstrokes lately, but a while back they were mixing diesel with the crankcase oil and had lots of computer problems.
