Re: titan vs chevy

and how would you start off in second with an automatic tranny? Did you swap the auto out for a manual transmission? Impressive!

I thought it would hold it in second, I didn't think you could actually start there. Hmmmmmmmm

Re: titan vs chevy

well, you can't start in second per se, but you can put in 1st and manually shift every gear yourself.

alot of guys like to put it in 3rd and race, they feel it shifts best in that gear.

we have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and overdrive. if i'm in slow slow traffic (15-30mph) i'll put mine in secondf to make it more "jumpy"

Re: titan vs chevy

Is the Titan really meant to be shifted manually? I know people do it, but it didn't see where it says anything about it in the owners manual other then shifting between two gears like 4th to 5th.

Re: titan vs chevy

It won't even hold it in second.....when you hit redline the truck will shift!!!

Also.....manual shift will do nothing for you. If you are pedal too the floor the truck will **** at redline and at no other time. YOu can not force it too shift early with your foot too the floor.

Just put the truck in D.....and race. With your foot too the floor the truck is going to shift the same way no matter where the selector is......

Re: titan vs chevy

I tried to see if the tranny would start at 2nd and it doesn't it shifts and holds onto second...until you sift to 3rd. It would save us alot of wheel spin off the line if we could start at second...jump to first and shift back into second....but no can do.
