So if you live outside the big city

As far as speed goes I know it's quick I smoked my friends heavily modded '03 Silverado. My question is has anyone had the balls to hook their Titan up in a true truck pull?

Funny you should ask that. I pulled a Peterbilt around the parking lot just the other day.

I believe I can field this one. Been going to truck pulls all my life. I would have to say no one has and probably wont til the HD comes out. It definitely would have the power to do it, but I wouldnt trust the 1/2 ton drivetrain behind it. I am assuming you are talking about a NTPA style pulling sled. Since those are approximately 40,000 lbs I would assume no one would hook a titan up yet. Thats pretty small equipment for that type of weight and power. I've seen a lot of 'stock' or close to trucks that had 1 ton drivetrains come appart pretty easily on a good clay track.

So to answer your question, no, I have not pulled my titan and dont plan to until maybe the HD comes out.

I dont think he's trolling. Asking if any of us has the balls to hook up to a pulling sled isnt disrespectful. Those things are built to let you pull a huge amount of weight for about 150-200 feet, and then stop you before 300 feet. That is hell on a truck, and will void any warranty out there.

Re: So if you live outside the big city

Thats what I am asking but not a 40,000lb sled this is a local deal where quite a few guys I know pull their Fords and Chevys. I believe the sled is usually around 10,00lb for the stock class. That is exactly what I am worried about the drivetrain flying apart. Now my one friend has an '03 Chevy with some mods and I can outrun him on the road until 115 when he finally catches me, his will do 128. But he wins these local truck pulls with it or gets second to another guy I know with an '05 Ford. Just was wondering how it would stack up in a true truck pull. I know it would void warranties but I'm 50mi from the closet Nissan dealer so they wouldn't know anyhow. I have an '04 KC BT OR 4x4 in Red Brawn by the way troll boys.

Well if those guys are pulling their half ton trucks then I'd say go for it. I'd love to hear how the titan stacks up in a pull. I guess I have been around super stock and modified trucks too long and got that stuck in my head. And if you do decide to run your titan post lots of pics, or better yet videos

Re: So if you live outside the big city

I don't think you will hurt it. Those sleds are generally built to not jerk the truck. Don't think it will be a problem. Turn the VDC off if you have it or you will not be able to spin the tires.
