Ouch Ouch Ouch. I would never own a viper, but I feel for the guy none-the-less. It looks to me that he never got the tires hooked up fully and broke them loose when he hit second. Overcorrected the first mistake and off into the wall he goes.

Side question: Is that a Caddy in the other lane? I know those V-series are fast, but it looked like it was holding its own against that Viper before it crashed.

it looked like the Caddy ran a 13.08 @ 109. but that mph is a little high for that E.T. which means he didnt have any traction and with it he would easily be in the 12's.

This is what happens when some rich douche has a 85k car and is afraid to do a "proper burnout" with over 500hp to the rear wheels you definatly need hot sticky tires to grab, i bet he didnt even do a good burnout..

With something with that much hp i'd definatly have a set of M/T ET drags or Street et slicks just for racing..

Don't think sticky tires would have helped. Driver wasn't very experienced and drag tires have their own problems for people who are not used to them.
