Sorry Guys Lost to A hemi ram.

I was in town to pick my son up from school to go to a doctors appointment. I was going to grab a few burgers first for my son and I. I went of course a little bit further into town. Stopped at a light, A 4 Door Dodge Ram Hemi Black pulls beside me. I wanted to do this so badly but he looked like an older guy so I was wondering if he would. It is a long light. Suddenly he revs a little bit and I look at him and he smiles. It was on. Light turned green and I had 1/2 truck length on him until he started to pull on me, Suddenly he had to 1/2 truck length on me and he never looked back. It was a good race. I am stock. He had a sticker on his car that said PearlAuto Performance, so I think he obviously had mods. Also there was no tread on his tired, you could tell he raced and he has a spare on. HOW DID HE BEAT ME!?.... oh well. His liscense plate said- THNX4TRYIN -I need an SC BADLY.

Hey. When you go, someone's always gonna lose. Unfortunately sometimes it's you. Cest la vie. Sounds like a not stock Hemi, but what do I know? That license plate is classic though.

Im thinking with that plate, you'd better be able to put up some numbers though.

i didn't know they made 10 digit license plates.

seriously though, i know for a fact a stock titan will not lose to a stock quad ram. my roomate has one. we raced. I smoked him. end of story

He was modded no question. For you to get a 1./2 truck lead and then him blow by ya, there is no way a stock hemi can do it. Forget about it!

Way to go Redtitankc for lining up with him and having fun! So what if you lost-you had fun.

I do wonder what would happen if you posted on HTC so that they can see that "yes it's true, a Titan does indeed lose to a Hemi Dodge-we can admit it!"

Smoked my friends QC Hemi Ram.....and the Ram you raced...had to be modded....cuz his higher end showed when he pulled that 1/2 truck ahead of you. Get flow opned up in your engine with a CAI and exhaust....and you'll be able to give them a good run.

Good Story!! My buddy raced his stock rc/sb hemi truck last night at Ennis and ran a 14.97 @ 90mph...This is in a lighter truck though being that he is a rc, but I dont know what most stock QC's run. But do like was mentioned above...let that engine breathe and then give it another shot...and if you can, try to talk to the guy next time and see what he has done to it. I always like to talk to the people I race so that I have some idea as to what I just ran up against.

For a stock RC that is a pretty good time. Stock QC's
can run about 15.6 on average.

i owned a 2003 QC Ram 4X4 (stock) and now own a 2006 Titan. IMHO the ram is quicker on top (from about 75-80 mph). Down low the titan feels faster (My titan is CC, BT, OR). Ram had towing package. Good run.

Nice try though. You'll get him with that sc'er. I lined up with a new escalade the other night. It was a lady so I didn't think anything of it but the light turned green and she was off like a prom dress. I thought to myself, oh no she didn't, so I floored it and to my surprise with two lengths on me from the start I caught up and passed her before we hit 50mph. She probably let off but I'm chalking it down as a win.

You know, the other night I couldn't figure out why is it that truck drivers are always trying to make their trucks so fast when they're already at a 2000 lb disadvantage to most cars. Then it hit me, a truck is about the only affordable thing out there where you can still get a big V8 in. Nobody wants to floor their vehicle and take off to the sounds of someone putting a baseball card in their spokes. You want to hear the deep growl of a V8 shreading tires just like it used to be before gas prices dominated productions.

I modify my truck just because i think making a 13 second truck is 10 times harder than making a 13 second car, any one can make a car fast.. but it definatly takes a little more skill launching a truck at the track with virtually very little weight over the rear and not lose traction..
besides i don't like being like everyone else, i like being unique and having a sport truck your definatly in the unique catagory
