War StoriesThis section is for discussion of any races you may have particpated in. If you smoked someone like a pack'o'cools, let us know. Likewise, if you got beat... let us know by what, so we can keep an eye out for it next time.
I was coming home tonight on the interstate from a Halloween party and exited onto the access road to turn off. I see from my rear view mirror a newer 1/2 ton hemi crewcab approaching on the far right lane which I needed to get on. I signaled to move over so I could make my right turn. I see that he also signals to turn right. Do understand I do not provoke or initiate a race with anyone unless they do. It's all fun. I do not have a s/c for one. Anyways, we both turn right until we come up on a blinking red light at the intersection. I think nothing of it until he purposely decides to come up next to me. I know that the police station is on this road so therefore I did not want to run him on this stretch. I come to the blinking red light first so therefore I go before he does so he could hear my exhaust. I am charged up at this point because of how he wants to pursue me. He drives up hard alongside me as like he wants to race me but yet he doesn't want to make a move. I am hesitant still because the police station is on the left. We come up on the next blinking red and I somewhat get on it hard to see if he takes the bait. He lags back. At the next light the same thing happens. What the chit??? Ok we come up on the next light where the road breaks into 3 lanes. This has been a mile stretch already. I am on the far left lane. This time he comes behind me instead of beside me. When the light turns green, he tailgates me so therefore I move to the middle lane so he has to come up beside me. I run along him to hear if he has anything in his truck. Nothing! No aftermarket exhaust. I gunned it and leaves him standing still. Why do people fuk with you and do not stand up to the challenge???
I was coming home from the track tonight and the same thing happened. A new and no plates, 06Hemi 1500 QC saw me and he rushed all the way until he saw that I still had the track numbers on my truck. I stuck at 45 and he just stayed in the lane next to me sticking to my bumper. There was a overpass and I hit the gas once for a fast down shift and let him hear the bark of my exhaust. I think that gave him the hint. We went down a long stretch of road and nothing...he just stuck behind me...not trying anything. Why rush up on someone then just look all stupid acting like nothing happened...well...this guy was the same thing.
Well I did get an opportunity to run one of those new grand cherokee the other night. I passed him coming home on a 3-lane street in dallas. He tags alongside me until we get to the redlight. I hear his rumblebeelike exhaust(I was thinking what the chit). I know it wasnt one of those cherokees with the big engine because it was not wearing those big shoes. I know those are incredibly fast. Are the six bangers fast at all??? Anyways I knew he wanted to run them because we both stared at each other at the light. Green hits so I let him make the first move to make sure he wanted to run. He got down hard after he heard my exhaust. It was over quick. Left him by 10 lengths.
To the hemi, 'Run what you brung' or dont rushup on folks!

It's not uncommon for a driver to move over and take a empty lane rather than stop behind traffic. I wouldnt call this a challenge unless there beeping there horn or motioning to go.

He wants to pursue, or is he simply heading down the same road your on?

Seems pretty obvious to me he never had a interest to race. I suspect he's wondering why the guy in the Titan is accelerating quickly from the start , revving his engine , and trying to initiate a race.

Maybe he thought that by staying behind you rather than coming up alongside that you would get the drift that he want interested.

Appears to me that someone was getting fruked with, but I'm not so sure which of the two was attempting to fruk with the other.

Rushed up on me like he wanted to race. Get the hell out of here speedfreak. He wanted a taste but did not want to bite. He also made a u-turn on my way home.
Same thing happens to me a lot of times but it's the other way around. Because of my "racy" exhaust and 20" chrome wheels, quite a few drivers (ricers mostly) think I'm up for a race all the time. It takes a lot of self control not to fall into these traps.
I pick the right time and right place of my fights. Sometimes I just tag along as not to be left behind.
sounds like he wanted a race, or was just drunk and knew the coppers station was coming up, so he was stayin rite on u in the hopes the troopers wouldnt notice him goin buy, if ur goin fast enough, thell just think its one long vheicle.
Maybe your right.
There's no doubt after him making the convicting u-turn that he was after you.
I suspect when he realized whom was behind the wheel of your Titan he simply gave up before the race even started.
Way to go man, chalk up a kill on the basis of a forfeit.
There's a fella in town that drives a 06 400hp LS2 GTO.
He exits stoplight's with authority while a aftermarket exhaust drones out any noise his tires might make.
There's been a couple time's I've tried to get his attention while on the road, but for the most part he either ignores me or looks over and maintains the speed limit.
After reading the post from TreyUt I've come to the conclusion he's scared of me, and not up to the challenge.
