I smoked a 06 Hemi & 06 Harley F150 but Im not happy.

This week I was at a mudding comp. and I met up with some guys with some nice rigs. It was all about ford vs chevy oh and some mopar. The guys know Im a chevy guy and were giving me a hard time about having as they say
"Jap Crap". With all that being said I could the Hemi and F150 out and as you know I smoked them. The only thing is I also had my *** handed to me by a 05 F250 turbo,06 cummins and some moded chevys and fords

. I know I should be comparing to apples to apples but I can't help to think that these truck really don't have what it takes. Its not that I don't know how to drive it, I mean I drive a low 9 sec car soon to be in the 8s, so I know how to drive. I just dont see me spending money on bull**** boltons nore 6k for an extra 100hp to the wheels when I can bye a new chevy with 400hp+. On top of that I can port a set of heads and put a cam in it + boltons and get and extra 100hp. Have you all seen the new Denali truck? I have and I got a good look at its rear lights aswell. Sorry to say all this about the Titan, I was even planning on having a turbo system built by Pro Turbo System but now Im thinking twice.

It all depends on what your wanting to do and spend.

The Titan has been the best performing stock truck in the sub 30,000 range since 2004.

If your wishing to spend over $40,000 for performance go buy a Vette or a soon to be released Camaro.

It's true a newer Chevy or Dodge can be made faster than the Nissan, but playing catch up dont come free.

I have a vette, an its a freaking fast one at that. It just sucks that this truck has big limits. I have been working on a 05 5.6 motor out of an Titan. Don't get me wrong there is power to be made but not enough for the money for my liking. Im having a sheetmetal intake made just because I can build it my self with the help of the man Bech.

have patience a good tuneable programmer is out for the titan now i've seen it in action first hand on rb titans truck.. Uprev is the company they are doing tunes now at a dyno shop here in texas.. I plan to go in 2 more weeks.. cams from jim wolfe should follow shortly now that they can tune for them.. add in a 100 shot of n20 and your looking at a high 12 sec truck.. i'm on the same boat as you for the s/c screw that thing till i see some numbers at the track i'll take my 90 shot of n20 before thinkin bout that..already in high 13's on my truck "untuned" so if i get tuned and cams should definatly be looking at some high 12's considering rb's titan dropped .6 in the 1/4 from the stock ecu to the aggressive map they gave him for track/street use

Your nearly a stock truck. You beat trucks that are at your same level. Those modded trucks that whipped you.....tell them to go back to stock....and you'll own them. The TITAN is a great truck but you shouldn't be upset at its preformance compared to modded rides. You have fast cars and a fast truck...that can put a whooping on a stupid stock Ford or Chevy if they decide to mess with you. As time comes around, mods will be readily available for the TITAN.....which only has been out for 3 years.....so products will eventually get cheaper and more variety will be around. Patience is a virtue brother.

BraceYoSelf777 thanks for the kind words but it seems that I've struck a deal for a 07 2500 4x4 dodge cummins not that ***** Hemi. Pluse they said they would pay off my truck and not be upside down. You know what sucks if checked with my bank and some nissan dealerships and my 06 SE 4x4 crew cab with all the bells and stuff is only worth 20k. That suck for only having the truck for 3months with 5000 miles on it.

Sad fact when buying new...sign the paperwork...you just lost a minimum of 20% on your investment...On anything you buy....Titan isn't the only one.

And some cars are close to 35%...Buick, Mercury, Hyundai, Kia are examples.

Tuf- sorry to hear about your woes but obviously you have a passion to mod that the Titan commnunity does not have nor the parts available. By the way I treed and SRT10 Quad cab and "whipped his a...s...s" on a 80shot of cold fusion.

A turbo was done but that was before programming and now that's here I'm sure that another turbo will show it's face soon. By the way what color is your truck and what are you going to do with the spare 5.6?

Ok Cool. Then let me know when you drop it in a 240 would ya. I'd like to see the race on "pinks" with the LS1powered 240 and the 5.6 powered 240.
