War StoriesThis section is for discussion of any races you may have particpated in. If you smoked someone like a pack'o'cools, let us know. Likewise, if you got beat... let us know by what, so we can keep an eye out for it next time.
Whats up fellas? I am a first time caller, long time listener ( little humor ) to the titantalk.com website. Well I always read and never contribute, and I always read about how Titans smear Hemi's on this website, which is cool because there are some slow *** dumb hemi drivers out there... but this story will be different... I was pulling off of I-35 in Temple, Tx on an exit that led me up to a four way intersection. I get in the left lane and take a left on red (since this interection allows it) and as I go to look both ways I spot a pearl white titan on rims mugging me down, gritting his teeth for the light to change so he can follow in my direction. I slow down because I know what is going to happen (finally ) and sure enough he starts to come... and than keeps going... I was pissed because I thought he pulled a ricer fly by but he did start to slow down and I caught up with him by the next light. He complimented my truck and I complemented his (he told me that he had intake, a 2 degree timing advance?, and exhaust). We waited and waited and than finally we got the green light, we were even til about 35-40 and than I jumped a length on him due to a really hard shift, than we pretty much stayed that way with me slowly gaining on him til about 90 to 100... i proboably had about 2-3 lengths. I thought that he did really really good for his extended cab truck, and now I am a firm believer that a stock titan could walk a stock qc hemi ram... maybe even an rcsb. I would always love to race another Titan though and see the outcome. I know there are plenty of Texas Titan guys out there ( One I believe is even from College Station ), and I would be more than happy to meet up with some cool drivers to run with at the dragstrip ( or backroads ) and kick it. Anyways, hope ya'll enjoy the story.
which is cool because there are some slow *** dumb hemi drivers out there...
Yeah, there are some "slow ** dumb TITAN drivers out there" too. I'm sure if had all the mods you do (if available) he'd take ya. Stock for stock, they sure are close but from my expierance, the titan always wins
Welcome to TT! I would have to conclude
two things. Either your Ram is not running
right or the Titan guy was spraying a little
funny gas. With your mods you should be
running mid 13's. At 90-100mph you both
were near the 1/4 mile mark. A three length
lead is apx 3/10ths of a second in the 1/4
mile. Let's say your truck can do a 13.6.
That would put him in the 13.9-14.0 range.
The guy had more mods than he claimed
or you need to get your truck checked.
Especially if the cam was installed right.

LOL...Does this crack anyone up other than me?!?!
One Hemi owner, not-Titan owner, welcoming another Hemi owner, non-Titan owner to TITAN TALK! I just think it's hilarious.
Glad you both are here though...The Ram is a nice truck, we all get are vehicles for different reasons. I liked the Ram, but the Titan was similar in certain ways, but not "another Ram" if you know what I mean...Anyways, welcome to TT.
yeah its funny...i laughed lastnight when i see Hemi owners on this site...its like spying to see what us are doing to our trucks so they can prepare...
all i can say is..theres some pretty quick hemis...i havent yet to race any, but i got to test drive my buddies 2dr daytona. so im waiting to race him, of course his areodynamics are A LOT better than mine, so im waiting for a chip or a ecu tune up. we shall see
There's a bunch of cool HEMI guys here. Hey silveradoslayer, bunch of guys always go to the HRP track (both HEMIs and Titans) I thinked a few of them going to the track in Sealy on the weekends of the 17th this month. AgTitan06, you still in College Station? Hook up with him.
