Re: TITAN vs. Ford Lightning

Any of you lightning guys in the Houston Area want to race my N/A Hemi?? I will put up a damn good fight against a lightly modded lightning and if you are stock, dont waste my time. And if you are modded, I have the bigger jets in the glove box just waiting to spank your ***!!

Re: TITAN vs. Ford Lightning

Guys to be honest, I dont know why ur bashing on each others trucks here. Yes the titan is quick for a stock truck. And no matter how you cut it, a Lightning is fast and it is stock. anything off of the showroom floor is "factory stock".

Does this mean that since a f-350 has a turbo, it isnt stock?

Now i know that you guys think you could take a lightning with a supercharger, i agree to an extent. It will take far more than puttin a blower on your trucks to beat a lightning. Then you start compromising your life of your truck. Just like if i put a blower on my motor i wouldnt beat one without upping the boost.

Furthermore, you must realize that a lightning has a warranty. U lose yours the second you put one one.

And I really dont understand why chaining a lightning to a titan is going to prove ne thing. The only reason you say this is because you have the benifits from DOHC and possibly 4wd. Even still, you have a truck thats meant to tow. the lightnings are sports trucks with great potential for high horsepower and low ETs.

I have gotten my *** handed to me by a lightning and i knew it was going to happen.

So how about you stop flaming and move on.

The L and Titan are both trucks and in case you didnt know the thread starter decided to compare his Titan to an L.

My truck is also meant to tow but it too has great potential for horsepower and we know the incredible torque these diesels can produce. As far as flaming each other, isn't this the "War Stories" section? I enjoy the spirited exchanges anyway. Just remember, this is a Titan site and if you don't own a Titan consider yourself a visitor as I do

Re: TITAN vs. Ford Lightning

There's already a thread on that, Harley#356. One that was started by a Titan owner, and consistent contributor to this forum. Is there still a Titan owner posting to this thread? Or is it just you Dodge and Ford guys now? Don't you guys have your own forums? This thread needs to be closed.

LOL........Really? Notice that it was for the 2004 Titan and they never reviewed a new 06 or 07 TITAN since then??? Look at the last test date retard. It was Nissan's first truck and Ford has been making trucks for many years.......and still can't make reliable vehicles.

Re: TITAN vs. Ford Lightning

So i've been watching the L boards and over here for a little while now.. It's kinda funny watching both sides.. FWIW I've seen BONE stock L's run as fast as 13.1@104 and as poorly as 14.0@98... So maybe you slap a blower on the titan and it could beat/hang with a stock L.. but no one has said anything about modding the L's... Oh and to the guy with the bike, you're goin to have to run faster than 9.7x@13x to hang with the big boy Ls
