Finally... Raced a HEMI
well after over 6 months and 11000 miles of searching for a HEMI at every stoplight to have a go with... i finally got my chance...
the wife and i were off to Wally-World to pick up some Christmas Decorations, we are talking away at the red light, it turned green. me not worrying about who was around me for being engrossed in conversation, i take off from the light in a light, yet spirited way when on my right a nose of a truck appears as i hear the exhaust grumble... i look over and YES! its a 2006 Dodge Quad Cab with the HEMI!!! he definately had the jump on me, by the time i hit the gas my front tire was at his tailgate, i gave it just enough to downshift then eased it to the floor ever so slightly, and i was closing the gap i hit third and my tire was at his front door, then he shut it down, tucked his tail between his legs and stayed far behind me the rest of the trip.. i was so psyched... i love a good stoplight race... even tho i am a king cab, i was still faster in my mostly stock form...... (does glasspack and DIY airbox mod count as intake and exhaust?) the wife just shook her head, she no longer tries to make me stop... shes learned to deal with my heavy foot, heck sometimes when shes driving she'll even try to take someone at a stoplight like she did the extended cab Z71 and won!

Nice kill, by the way! I pulled up to another Hemi tonight on the way home from the grocery store- I thought about it, but I didn't want my groceries going everywhere. I couldn't fit them on all the hooks. lol

How is this a kill you never got in front of him. I know he shut it down and you were catching up but you never got in front of him. Not trying to start anything just questioning what is considered a kill. Races don,t go on forever?
