First real Kill in new titan

Well i've had my new 06 titan for little overr a month now any put too many miles on it already! well i hit 3000. i was on the freeway yesterday still mostly stock, magnaflow, TBS and 2* timing advance, and this newer F-150 kept reving on me. Now, i know f150s are underpowered already after smoking them in my silverado in the past everytime, but this guy had a "Vortech Supercharged" huge sticker on his back glass. i thought, "cool i love to see someone in a fast truck". Well I noded and let him start the race by pinning the throttle first. As soon as i saw him get on it i mashed the pedel down and IMMIDIATLYjumped from his mirror to even, then 1/2 trucklength ahead! within another few second i would say i had a trucklength on him! i was laughing the whole time cause i was stoked on my WISE purchase! he flipped me off(real mature), and swearved from far left lane to right to exit fwy with his tail between his legs. BTw i have the Bigtow and had my slightly smaller stock silverado rims on will my stoickers where being powdercoated semigloss blk.
I Love this truck and cant wait to see if it really does open up MORE after 5000Mi. Just had to post this after reading the Thread that Tommy posted of that f150 and his find of the f150 winning a race against a titan that had no clue he was racing. Did u catch the part that he was supossebly Vortech Supercharged?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHA, i love you new truck!

good kill on the ford, but if I was guessing I would say the sticker is all he had. I couldn't image a pretty much stock truck beating a SC truck. Most trucks with a SC would be in the 13's in the Qtr.

dont forget that those supercharged stickers are worth a good 50-75 rwhp....

ha ya it must have been just the sticker, i would have thought he would have more juice than that. Vortech is only about 25 minutes from my house so maby his buddy gave him the "+50hp sticker" HAHA! +75 if its chrome! Although my friends both had 5.3 silverados that worked there and put thier chargers on their trucks and ran like crap. And thats with weeks of tuning to try and get it right! I donno, either way i like my truck

Anybody know where I can pick up one of those supercharged stickers? I could always use another 50-75 rwhp........I bet all the guy had was that sticker, if not he should get his money back.

LOL!!! Don't forget that F150's came with both the Triton
5.4L and the 4.6L V8. If he had a SC (depending on boost)
4.6L I don't think he could do 13's. His truck would be more
on par with mine. I might even beat him. Conclusion....Just
a sticker....just a sticker.

it wasnt blown or he was not even trying. he woulda messed you up something fierce if he was.

na i dont think so. i would assume he would beat me but not like "somthin fierce", prob just inched away. ive never drivin a blown f150(well cintrifugal SC should not be concidered "blown"), but i drove my friends 5.3 silverado with a Vortech SC and it was weak. on the other hand i drove a 5.3 with the Magnacharger and LOOKOUT! that was a blast to drive. my friend took his vortech off and SWORE on those nice 'cool or cold" days his truck was just as fast, but without the programming hickups. just my personal experiance zo6. all i had before this truck where silverados

There was an episode of TRUCKS where they put a banks SC, exhaust, intake, and programmer on an F150 and it still dynoed less than most of our trucks....and they are heavy as he!!

Yea well ya know that dude with the black silverado with the flames? hes using a vortech and hes almost in the 10's. My point is that a supercharged 5.4 should be making around 410 hp with about 480 tq. that is more than enough to beat yours, mine and im sure most of the trucks on this site.

the dude prolly had just the sticker or just didnt want to race you.

I'm not sure if it was the Saleen F-150 or the Roush F-150....both are Supercharged...both run 0-60 in 7 seconds....and both run the quater in 15.00. Compared to a stock F-150...thats a difference.....LOL

Seriously.......look it up on Edmunds or MotorTrend. A tuned and blown F-150 would need some serious work done to it to crack past into the 14's....otherwise its a dog. Even though our TITAN's are blown...we still are able to put down a 0-60 in 6 seconds.....and a quater in at 14 secs. Let me remind you....the Stillen truck doesn't have a Tru-trac so it struggling to put that power down sufficiently so that 6 sec's can crack into a good 5 just with a new tru-trac diff.

A 5.3 with a vortech (if it's tuned for the blower) would DESTROY a titan or a hemi or a normal 5.3 for that matter. Stock you guys are running mid 15's a blown 5.3 would be low 13's. Also, look at an F150 lightning. stock alot of those guys are running mid to low 13's and that's with the eaton blower that doesn't produce as much as a good aftermarket super charger like a KB or a whipple. Z06, the black silverado with the flames is also not a 5.3. It is an SS so he's running the 6.0. Just thought I would clarify.
