Major Truck Comparison Video

Excellent video. Look at how bad the breaking is for the F150. That sucks !!!

It just goes to show you how close our trucks really are!!!

The Tundra is a BEAST!!

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

Of course it's going to look like it stops the worst, because it's the slowest to 60, so it has to go farther before it can even begin stopping.

Same thing with the 0-40-0 towing test. Since the Tundra out accelerates everyone, it could have the worst brakes and you couldn't tell from that lovely video.

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

DID you see the dodge in the first test it was right on the tail of the titan and all of a sudden it jumps to being about 15 ft back of the titan and again on the tail of the titan PURE BS

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

That's a stupid video. It's not even real, it's a computer generation of what they think would happen based on their rated 0-60 and 60-0 times...let them do a real world race and then I MIGHT be impressed...

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

What they don't tell you is that you have to pay a premium to get that engine, where in the Titan its standard even on base models. Do the test with similiary priced trucks.

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

hahaha, that vid is a trip. No doubt, whether real or fake , the tundra is a rocket sled. Amazing our trucks, (w/ 64 less hp than the Tundra) is right behind it and well ahead of everyone else.

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

Gotta give Toyota credit, they copied the Titan and put in variable valve timing on both exhaust and intake. Nissan just needs to give us VVT and we may just win. That 6 speed tranny in Tundra is also a plus. Just be thankful you are not driving a Furd!

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

How much more HP does a Tundra have?

Depends.

from edmunds dyno tests..

Tundra 5.7 381 HP / 321 RWHP

Titan 5.6 317 HP / 291 RWHP

and just for sheets and giggles..

Chevy 6.0 367 HP / 297 RWHP

I drove a Tundra 5.7, it didn't seem to be much different than a Titan.

If those numbers are true, then the Titan's drivetrain efficiency of 91.8% is really outstanding in comparison. Toyota's is 84.25% and Chevy's is 80.9%.

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

Well im not gonna call this video bs at all. Come on guys give credit where credit is due. That tundra is one hellova truck even if it is 38000. and to be honest with you all, these trucks (except the f150) are all extremely close in performance. to me, i dont need the baddest truck on earth to suit my ego... I just need something that is safe, relaible, looks good, has a little get up n go and can tow well. All that other bs is exactly that.... BS.

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

the part that i think is funny is the 60-0 times. I can't remember if it was edmonds or what but the 07 titan had best stopping time of all the trucks but yet in this video it didn't.

strange...

Re: Major Truck Comparison Video

after watching it a few times, you can easily find a lot of discrepencies in this vid.

My biggest complaint, why does the titan have the worst reaction time on EVERY single start
