Cheby Death day

Well two of the guys I work with wanted to have a little fun on our way to one of the other sights today. The first was my young frind with his convertible Z28. Apparently the added weight of the folding top reinforcements to the chassis weigh his car down a little more than we throught it would. Accelerating from 0-80mph he could not pass me. My other friend brought his Cheby 2500 with the big turbo diesel and allison trans. Crew cab 4x4 and short bed. Absolutely no match for the Titan. 8-10 truck lengths on 2 runs to 80mph. Fun to play, my 2500 friends only comment was "lets see it out run me with a trailer behind it".

Its a later model Z, but not an SS. I will have to ask him tomorrow what year it is. I know he was not happy with the situation.

Well if you were out here in VA I'd run ya. Have only raced one Titan, and beat it pretty badly. Now, stock I could see him getting his *** handed to him, but unless he is really horrible 10 lengths is a bit much I could see 2, maybe 3 and then you'd pull even more once he hit his limiter @ 97mph.

Z28's are something you don't touch around here in So-Cal...to many of them are sleepers.

I could have told you that the duramax 2500 was no match! Like he said though put 10000# behind the 2! LOL My Titan would smoke my duramax. Now put a chip in it and its a whole new ballgame. Nice kill on the Z. Nothing to brag about on the cheby!
