Another Dodge bites the dust

It was not a Hemi but it was a Dakota R/T 5.9L. We went from a roll and I let off after I was a truck lenght ahead just over 60.

Nice kill. IT's still a Dodge and it's another win for the mighty Titan.

And his gas bill is worth more than his truck.

With a time like that in that high heat and elevation
I can tell you it was NOT a stock Dakota R/T. The
Ext cab R/T's I believe ran a 0-60 time in the 7.1
second range. That would probably be a mid 15 second
quarter mile. A RC R/T would do slightly better. That
R/T was either juiced or he was running a 408 Stroker.

Oh!!! Nice kill Tex!!

Re: Another Dodge bites the dust

i raced a 5.9 RC once and was the closest damn race i've ever had in my truck.. even in ****ty weather with 75% humidity and no traction with 2.1 60's with drag radials ( temple raceway doesnt know what VHT is for apparantly) we where neck to neck whole track and ended up beating me by half a truck length.. he got a 14.34 @96 to my 14.42@94 was a cool guy had tons of mods, kinda was funny though he said he bogs off the line cause his cam is too big..

Re: Another Dodge bites the dust

Yeah I guess that is the problem with the 6.1 cam. Not that it makes it bog but it gives you nothing in lower RPM's, I have also heard of guys getting slower 60' footers with the 6.1 but faster et's.
