07 Titan vs 06 F-150

So here is the story I recently bought a 2007 Titan and my friend keeps giving me $#$ for buying a Nissan and not a Ford. I told him i bought the Nissan for a Reason cause it was 100,000,000 times better then a Ford and it also was way faster. So he keeps saying that his F-150 will put my truck to shame even though it has more power and looks better. So we finally race and we pull up to a Light on El Camino by my house. He starts showing off power breaking it and smoking his tires. I just look and shake my head. As soon as the light turns green i stomp it a get about 1 car length on him to about 20 mph then as soon as my truck hits about 4,000 rpm i take off and start to pull on him even more, while he is in the back sweating trying to make his truck faster. The end result was about 5 car lengths on his truck at about 80 mph. We pull up to the next light and he says that he was not ready so he wanted to race again. Oh ya did i mention he has a Flowmaster exhaust and my truck was stock at the time. We decide to race again and this time i even beat him worse. Now i just rub it in his face every time i see him OHH MAN YOU SHOULD OF GOT A TITAN hahah

Welcome to T.T. Now that you're here, there's NO reason to stay stock for long

Re: 07 Titan vs 06 F-150

Unless an F-150 really wants to be put to shame....I'll slap it to them. But if they rev and pull away...I'm not wasting my gas. Those things are slow...and have yet, to find one that will beat any TITAN.

LOL nice kill man! I never did like F150's that came with a 5.4 Triton, they are dogs. I wonder how much of a difference when they are supercharged? Hmmmm I guess I'm going to have to find a Lightning.

Talking Re: 07 Titan vs 06 F-150

I have no idea what Ford has done to that engine. We had a '97 (i think..first year anyway) Expedition and with 2 less gears and 8 less valves, it was at least 2 seconds faster to 60 than the '07 Expedition we now have.

I ran out and bought the Titan after driving the Armada. My wife hates that her truck is so slow.

It seems like Ford prevents WOT under 50+ mph...I mean dawg slow (I keep looking back for the trailer I must be pulling)

Re: 07 Titan vs 06 F-150

I just thought I'd say this for #&@*'s and giggles. I drive a 2006 Titan CC SE 4x4 as my personal vehicle and a 2005 Ford F-150 Ext. Cab 4x4 as my company vehicle (I didn't have a choice in choosing the vehicle, it was given to me...plus the best things in life are free...including gas). Needless to say, everytime I get into the F-150 I frown at the lack of power, quality, etc. But at the end of the day when I go home, I get this big grin on my face everytime I drive my Titan. Just thought I'd throw that out there for you fellas...

Re: 07 Titan vs 06 F-150

Not every F-150 is slow. I think Ford has a really good truck, good quality, just doesn't perform good. Careful though, not all of them are slow like I said. My brothers lifted F-150 could probably beat some of these Titans here.

Hows the new set up coming?

Great kill by the way and keep rubbing it in. Just stay away from the "L"s.

Re: 07 Titan vs 06 F-150

i have a client that drives an f-150 and was looking at my titan when picking up his order. he's a really big client of ours and he began asking about the titan and if "those big rims slow you down" i said nah not really... still beats a ford. He laughed and said the ford is the best selling truck in the us how can that be. i told him sales has nothing to do with hp and tossed him my keys so he could take it around the block. guy burns rubber out of my parking lot and bolts down the street like a bat outta hell in my titan. I was like damn! after a few minutes he pulls into the lot and jumps outta the truck and i swear he sounded just like larry the cable guy with his southern drawl. First thing outta his mouth was "ooOOOooo weeee god damn!" and a big azz smile. "I never knew dem things hauled dat much azz." I just smiled. I think his next truck will be a titan but maybe not. A lot of people buy Fords or chevy or dodges because their daddys always did and they do the same. nothing you can do about that.
