Re: smoked 2 chevys today

Good kill. Were they both 4.8's? Chevy has the 4.8 & 5.3. that the Titan should be able to easily beat stock for stock. The 6.0 is another story depending on which 6.0 it is(LQ4 or LQ9). It looks like the Titan mod market is picking up. Has has the tuning side of modding improved for the Titans?

Re: smoked 2 chevys today

So Titan are running high 14's stock? Must be if you guys are spanking the 6.0's in the SS's. The new Vortec Max's seem slower though.

The new vortec max is disappointing stock. GM stock programming is beginning to get worse because they are trying to increase MPG. You might need to think about the 6.0 statement. The older(2003-2006) 6.0 doesn't have the same programming so it will outrun the new 6.0. I'd guess I was running around 15.0 flat stock and there are guys who have posted 14's stock on the SS site. Plus the AWD gives the SS an advantage on take off. It took a SC for me to turn over all 4 tires.

I'm surprised the mod market hasn't expanded more that what I read about on here. There is soooooooo much money in it. I'm sure once the Titan gets older more stuff will come out. I guess it just takes time.

Beating a Chevy is harder than beating a Ford. I've lost to more sleeper Silverado SS's than anything else. As for the F-150's....only the whining doosh bags beat me.

Yes, I'm "Airborne" 2nd 504th "Airborne Infantry" Take it easy my friend, I wasn't bashing anybody. I'm like GMvisitor, a truck guy at heart. I'm on other forums as well, and I don't bash anyone. Everyone is proud when they win a race. But there comes a time when you lose races too, and you have respect that. Like I've always said in the past, it's like getting into a fight, there will always be someone better than you. Many of my friends have different brand of trucks, but I don't dis-respect them for it, I just learn from it. That's why I joined this site is to learn about the Titans. I believe they are underrated too, and they are good competition for other brands. If you read some of my other posts on other threads, then you would know this. Again, nice kill on the Chebby!

Re: smoked 2 chevys today

good kill bud. as you said the 4.8s arent very impressive, especially in a crew cab.

in the GMs if you dont manually shift at 30+ mph the truck wont shift down... they run like a fuggin dog, at 29mph theyll run like a bat outta hell though lol

Re: smoked 2 chevys today

It's nice to visit a truck board every now and then like this where everyone thinks 14 second trucks are fast.
