Talking smoked 2 chevys today

well i went to buy me and my wife something to eat and i catch up with an old bud i used 2 work with. he just recently bought a brand new 0 miles 2007 chevy 4 door silverado 4.8. so were doin about 30 miles when i tell him to go and he floored it so the i took off. stock vs stock i beat him by over 5 carlengths!!! lmao!! it was sweeeeet!!! lol now we get to the gas station and my other homeboy pulls up in his 02 silverado . so we all talked and he didnt believe i beat his truck so he says to race him. he has a flowmaster exhaust and his truck is dynoed and reprogrammed so this one aint stock!!!4.8l dropped 3-5 pretty fast, but not faster than me though lol we were cruising on 30 and we took off. i got him by a lil more than a carlength he didnt believe it so we tried it again and again like 7 more times.now the third time i raced him i was laughin because he took off first and i caught up to him quick! i got him on most of them but in the last 3 for some reason the titan doesnt pick up as good when youre low on gas.... he didnt believe me but oh well all i know is when i get a full tank of gas i know i can take his truck as many times as i want! all i know is that this is a pretty sweet truck stock.i can only imagine how fast it will be when i add on the exhaust, cold air intake with the uprev!! im one very satisfied titan owner!

Good question. I heard about this forum on Pickuptruck.com, someone was talking about how underrated the Titan was so I decided to take a look. I was impressed with the people on here who don't slam you just because you drive another brand truck. I'm a truck guy first and a Chevy guy second. I've learned a lot about the Titan and other brand trucks since posting here. It's a good group of folks on here and by having other brand's post here it only serves to better educate us about other trucks besides our own.

The 4.8 liters and the 5.2 are a joke. They are like beating up your little sister. They are no match. Everyone know's your SS is tricked out so take your modded chebby over to the SS forums. Stock against stock is what I'm talking about. Since there is no stock Titan S/S it's comparing apples and oranges. Go run some Viper trucks and Lighting's. See if it aint like getting beat up by your big brother

Re: smoked 2 chevys today

Take it easy, he said "nice kill". As far as stock vs. stock I thought it was "run what you brung", do you check with everyone you race and make sure they're just stock before you race? Didn't think so

I did read it again and I congratulate you on your win! The Titan is IMO a very underrated truck powerwise as proven on here time after time. All I meant was that it's difficult to do the old apples vs. apples comparison since so many trucks out there (all brands) tend to mod. I wouldn't have stood a chance against you before I modded my truck

You would of stood a chance untill I went WOT and hit 3RD gear. Then you would of got an eyefull of Nissan tailgate. I'll race your Modded truck In Anchorage in Febuary right after a snow storm. Run what you brung right (2wd)
