Not a kill...I kept up.

I just got my Titan a couple months ago, so its still in breakin. I hang out with a bunch of guys that have cars, and I'm the only one with a truck. They rag on me because of it, anyway we're on the highway on our way to a street meet in a neighboring town. I line up against a IS300 and a Mustang Gt, we're doing about 55 for the start. After three honks we all take off, of course I knew I wasn't winning. But it was funny when they turned and saw my Titan right behind them. After we stop they're like "Your trucks not as slow as I thought." I just smiled.

Re: Not a kill...I kept up.

my buddy has an is300, he though for sure it was faster than my truck so we went to the track, i ran 3 tenths quicker and 2mph faster than him. We also ran on the interstate from a 60mph roll, i pulled him 1/2 truck length til 105mph then he edges back up with me and pulls once i hit the speed limiter.

The IS300 is a slow car...even with bolt-ons. The only other way it would pull on a TITAN is if it had a turbo or some type of forced induction, or if it was stripped. The engine has horse power....but not enough torque to carry that heavy body around. The new Is350 is a different story.

Re: Not a kill...I kept up.

I use to own a 2001 IS300, it was fully loaded with everything. That was a sweet ride but 215hp just wasn't cutting it. That thing was smooth though. You couldn't even hear or feel the road even on low profile tires.

My Titan is still in breakin mode. Only has 2970 on the clock. Plus he jumped it one of the times.

Re: Not a kill...I kept up.

The one I was messing with runs 15.1's. The manual versions are faster than the automatics.
