There have been a few members on here with the early '04s that have stated top speeds above the posted limiter. Just remember, speed kills..... but mostly it's just the loose nut behind the wheel.

I don't regard it as being wimpy. Every time I think about hitting those speeds I just remind myself that I am throwing almost 6,000lbs of truck down the highway.

After owning mine for 3 years, I finally maxed it out a few Sunday's ago. It was straight interstate and no one around, about 5:30 a.m. Funny thing is I don't remember if it topped out at 110 or 115 LOL. It was the first time I felt the situation might be OK to try it, but really like the others have said, it's not the smartest thing to do. This truck just isn't stable enough at that kind of speed to be safe. You gotta steer quick, your gonna roll it. Hell even a stiff sidewind might get under you and do bad things.

It seemed like it used the drive by wire to limit it, no fuel shutoff like my Dakota, just steady and smooth. I figured I'd see if the cruise control might work up there but no dice

I felt like my truck was just asking me if I was serious

The Cruise started to operate around 90.

Ever think maybe some people have grown up with a different heritage than you? He's not being a wise guy, appears sincere enough, and hasn't offered up any personal insults. Proper grammar doesn't always equate to class.
