Yooo!

Last night was fun. My car club and I went out to our local car meet we have where about 50 other people meet up and just chill. The night was going slow, and by this time it was already 12 – 1 AM. I’m with my brother in my truck, and we are talking to my friend in his 2006 Tacoma, when these two guys roll up. These two guys have two friends with a 2006 5.7L Hemi (4 door, stock, 2WD) and a 2001(?) 5.3L 1500 (Stock?) and challenge us to a race.

Now, I honestly don’t street race anymore because it’s stupid, and very dangerous. That’s why I go to the track every Thursday.

However, I can’t back down from a challenge. So we go on this road where no one can cut us off, and we are far away. So, it’s a safer race place.

I first line up with the Silverado and Hemi. They flag us, ready set go. We are off. The titan right away pulled from the group by about a length, then two. At about 90 MPH the single cab chevy was starting to creep up, but he never was near enough to try and catch me.

Next, it’s a four link race. Myself, the hemi, the Silverado, and my friends Tacoma. The Tacoma and I race a lot at the track, so our times are pretty identical, as long as our R/Ts and launches. It was a perfect race as we both pulled on everyone exactly the same time. I ended up winning by half a length with the Tacoma, and about 2 for everyone else.

There’s my little story. Lol Oh, I had just reflashed my truck and put about 150 miles on it…Sucks because the tune still isn’t working…

was the chevy stock? my friends dad has an 07 5.3 and cuts off at 90
sounds odd for it to be creeping up on you a that speed.
maby it had a programmer?

Every friday/saturday we meet up right off the 210 and cherry. By a Vons...We stay there usually until the cops leave...

Your competition wouldn't be us trucks though, more like the stangs and maybe a stock srt 4 or something...

Idk if he was truly stock or not. He didn't talk much before or after the races, just his buddies...

cool man, ill try and make it up there some time if its cool with you guys. if anything just to see some races. Id like to run your brother's s/c f150 though.

you'd easily beat him..It's on a 7" lift with 35" tires wrapped on 20" rims. I raced him on the freeway from 50-100 and it was a tie.

There isn't always races, you just have to see where a group of people leave an d follow. We got lucky. It's usually on from about 10 PM - 1 AM. Depends on how bad the cops keep coming back.
