Lunch time

I forgot to post this yesterday since I was busy at work. Anyway, I went home to get some lunch and on the way I happen across a Honduh Accord. Sometimes I'll take out a Honduh but I usually look for something better. Turns out to be an Accord that I was looking for a few weeks ago. It's bright orange, lowered, clear tails, heavy chrome wheesls, and obligatory ricer fart can. We end up at the light, but he hangs back so I figure he's not up for anything and leave him alone. At green I still take off kinda hard since I was in a rush, he takes it that I'm trying to race and gets on it. He makes to my door, and I floor it. I see him shift, and I'm gone. Pulled 4-5 lengths by 80. Overall, it was a good lunch.

Re: Lunch time

Was it a 4 or 6 cyl accord....just curious.....either way good kill. Many people out there seem to think there is no way a big ole pickup truck can beat their car in any kind of race.

I ran a Honda Prelude at the track a few years ago. I cut a light on the dude and pulled him off the line, at the 1/8th he was still a good ways back but gaining on me, he ended up passing me by a finder as we crossed the 1/4. Went back and parked in the staging lanes and he came up to me and told me "I sprayed it, no way I was going to let a PickUP beat me"

I went check out his car and he had 2 10lbs nitrous bottles for his 75HP shot. Also had the polished bottle brackets, bottle heater on both bottles, pressure gauge and remote bottle openers. His car prob would have been faster if he got rid of half of that stuff.

Re: Lunch time

Around here, they're the only ones that want to play. As for the suspension, every time I get close to having the money some bill pops up and kills it. It doesn't help that one of my paychecks went M.I.A. either. Plus, when Greg put up the new site he didn't include the PRG Lowering kit. So now I'm looking at piecing together my own package. One thing that is going to really cripple the budget I have for it is my soon to be paid for Nismo exhaust. Not complaing about that one, just wanted to say I'm getting one.

The generation that it was is mostly 4 cyl. At least it wasn't an automatic. I like showing people that a truck can move like a car. I have witnesses that can verifiy that. But, I like hitting the corners to prove the point.

Re: Lunch time

I don't usually race normal cars. Something about ricers that gets me going though.

They put a stick on the V6? That'd be a first...

Re: Lunch time

They do. I believe one of the Accords is a six speed.

That's interesting. I may have to convince the wife to go buy one of those...
