Friend that thinks he can win with his chevy.....

he has an 03 silverado 1500. I believe the only thing he has done to it is exhaust. think ill win?

he just told me that he has a vortec engine and he also has an intake on it too.

chebby, chebby, we're the best. ride a mile, walk the rest.

vortec, schmortex...dude is batshiat crazy. I had an '03...they only make a 5.3L and some lame itty bitty motor for that year 1/2 ton. POS, and strong only in the upper mid and top of the rpm range. Not saying the 5.3 is a bad motor, (it was the only decent thing about that truck,) just saying it won't hang with the aluminum block bad boy from Decherd, TN.

Now, a 2wd, 1997 chevy with a 5.7L vortec (350!) is another story completely. That is the fastest (stock) truck I've ever owned. Period.
