Re: 08 Duramax Vs 07 Titan

If Diesel was still in the $3.00 range it was 6 months ago I would have looked into one for my next truck.

With Ford, Chevy and Dodge all looking into diesels for there 1500series trucks this seemed like a reasonable choice, but with the current fuel prices moving beyond $4.00 a gallon I'm not so much in love with this idea either.

If things keep it up I may be parking my Titan, and purchasing a Yamaha scooter.

I suspect im spending more in gas than what this thing cost...123mpg

Re: 08 Duramax Vs 07 Titan

DMAX are easier to squeez power out of cause of the Trubo's. Just a tune alone can bring that peice of metal down the 1/4 mile in 14 seconds....thats just a tune. Supporting mods can cut into the 13's. Us N/a application guys need alot more bolt ons and mods to get close to the 13 mark. Toomnymods is the only guy that cracked the 12s in a TITAN....but damn...look at the list of stuff he did to his truck.

tune puts them in the high 12's or low 13's... the tranny lets you do it all the time

with tranny and tune i had very high 12's but never had the prep...13.10 @ 102 with a 1.80 60 ft daily driven was my best
