Titan Vs F 150

I work with a guy that has a 2006 F 150 with a leveling kit and 33's with flowmaster exhaust. Today leaving work he waited to for on a open stretch of road. My Titan is by no means fast due to the lift and 35's that weigh 83 lbs a piece so I was a little hesitant when I pulled up next to him for fear of getting beat by a Ford. He was the one that said go so he got a little jump on me but I reeled him right back in and pulled 1 length on him by the time we hit 50. All this after he told me had beaten every truck he had ever raced including a few Titans. My truck has JBA exhaust and volant intake by the way.

Nice kill!! The trucks hes raced prolly didn't want to waste their gas, most wont on F150s.

I've seen L-trucks with his mods, sans pulley, run 12's. Plenty fast.

Re: Titan Vs F 150

Titans without a S/C run 12's, like the other guy said not as fast as it should be. Is there a fast N/A F150? Show me a video of that, then I would be impressed.

yeah....and use nitrous instead. That's a power-adder in both cases btw.

So how fast should it be? Talking about trucks that can run mid-13's stock. That's a damn good bit quicker than anything else on the full-size truck market without spending $50,000.

there you go comparing our apples to your lemons.....

j/k, i seriously do like the L, they are great looking and performing trucks that can run sick times w/ little mods. seen them first hand at fun ford weekend a couple years ago in texas. having said that, lets keep the conversation where it started, a f1-fiddy vs a titan. both NA.

Re: Titan Vs F 150

Stock for Stock:

F150 vs Titan Titan all day

F150 Lightning vs Titan Lightning all day

Now that we have the obvious out of the way.......

The Lightning cannot touch the interior aspect or the ride of the Titan...NIGHT AND DAY!!!! The Titan is so much smoother with it's drive and the gas mileage is an UPGRADE from the Lightning (not that it matters to me anymore...took a job getting 1200 a month vehicle allowance aka Titan and a Company card aka gas). I love my new Titan and the ability pull a house down if needed. The Four doors and the room for a bear in the back seat is awesome. Wife is talking about another kid now ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!
The Lightning will be regulated to a weekend warrior/stoplight gas guzzler from now on. I might take it on the road with me if I have a trip to Alabama (gotta get a dyno tune on it).

Nothing like having one of the fastest trucks ever made and on of the HIGHEST tow rating trucks ever made in the same driveway....

Re: Titan Vs F 150

Big deal! I beat an F150 with my wifes V6 Chevrolet Uplander minivan. After watching him challenge the rice racer next to him at the light, I heard him start power breaking. Soooo I reached over and turned off the AC and purely for kicks thought I'd see how I matched up against 'em. I took him off the line, and just pulled away from there. He never had a chance till he did the sore loser pass after I hit my brakes at 50. He was so pissed, he felt the need to then cut me off and make a U turn 'cause he was so busy losing, he missed his turn. Her van is pretty darn quick and I've been the victor in more than a few races where my vehicle should have been the clear loser. I still prefer my Titan though!
