Re: titan vs. frontier

Haha now he wants to race me again because he had one extra person in his truck so he thinks he will win now. So i guess ill be racing him again sometime soon and ill try and get it on video for you poker_irwin. When you guys race do you just leave it in drive or do you shift manually from 1-4, i usually just leave it in drive but my friend told me it would be better to shift myself so which one do you think is better?

Unhappy Re: titan vs. frontier

Haven't pulled up next to a frontier yet, but a harley editon ford tried the other night, we were both going about 65 when we both gunned it, he had the slight lead when i ran out of room in the fast lane, slow drivers in fast lane should be shot. had to let up. never got another chance.

Re: titan vs. frontier

Just leave it in D, your friend is probably hoping you mess up shifting it yourself

Re: titan vs. frontier

When I test drove a 08 fronty a few months ago (I have owned 2 others previously 99 and 02) it was peppy, but felt really slow and torqueless off the line. But that could be just my impression coming from a V8.
Out on the interstate it passes good, but you had to mash the peddle down hard and get it straining to really get going.
The Fronty seems more than adequate for easy driving and smooth cruising, but seems to strain when pushed hard. Still like it though. The one I drove was a SE CC 4x4.
Now my older frontys were sloooooow! But still good little cruisers. The newer ones are much better.
