Kawasaki Ninja vs Titan

At least one Ninja owner will think twice about picking on a big Nissan truck.

Ok, first the details.
Sunday evening asI followed the crowd through 4 waytraffic some guy on a new Ninja 250R came zipping through traffic at a fairly quick pace. If he didnt have room to move from lane to lane he would share the center lane. The bike was nice looking and identical to the one in the picture posted. As he passed by me and kept going I growled under my breath and carried on as he turned off.

I was just about out of town when here he comes again. He finally caught up to me at the last redlight and only then did I notice by his engine sound that I may yet have a chance.

The rider lifted his visor, reveed his engine a few times and gave me a you cant touch me , eat crap grin. I knew he was on the 250 version and was going to give it my best.

Woe, was I surprised when the light turned green and the lil bugger took off. He didnt get a good launch but he was ahead of me none the less. These bikes can do 0-60 in under 6seconds with a really good rider on it, but he wasnt. At 60mph he was only a bike length ahead of me and looking back to see a Nissan grille coming on fast. By the time we were at whatI felt the 1/4 mile should be I was ahead of him by at least a half truck and gaining ground. Our speeds were over 85 when he shut it down and I did the same as there was little else to prove.

To the bikes credit I must say it was a good looking ride for a budget bike..re 250cc.

It was quick 0-60 and with a good rider would give most family cars a good run for there money. I suspect a stock WRX would be a good performance comparison 0-60. With a 1/4 mile time of 14.9 posted in the mags it was a lucky thing for me the Ninja didnt get a good launch as things likly wouldnt have ended so well for me.

Never the less He went home knowing a truck beat him, I on the other hand know not to mess with anything larger than a 250

Re: Kawasaki Ninja vs Titan

Hahahaha!!! I wonder if he's posting about it on the Ninja forums. FWIW, I learned last year that "Lane Splitting" is legal in most states. I dunno if that has anything to do with your situation or not but it makes me feel better now when I see a bike riding in between lanes during a traffic slowdown to know that he's doing it legally instead of just being another a-hole trying to cheat his way ahead.

my buddy had a 250cc for a short time and my old 4 cyl reg cab 2wd S10 could keep up with him at anything over 65mph...we both hit it going around 70 and he saw that he wasnt leaving me behind like he expected to and he went and got a 600cc a few weeks later haha

What a joke, ridding a 250cc and messing around with people. HAHAHA!!! Most compatent average car would give that bike a good run for it's money. Most average cars are around 250hp nowadays.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja vs Titan

I'm not as stupid as I use to be when I was younger. Many years back, I'd get a new bike and just trash it. When I say trash it, it would be redlined and up into a wheelie each time I got on it. I would stunt it around, just having fun. Maybe that's why I'm always in a new bike about every 2 years. This bike is just being ridden to work and back...... And maybe a little action here and there if someone wants to play. Other then that, I'll keep my motorcycle license and insurance to a minum.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja vs Titan

Pathetic........I can run faster than a Ninja 250. What's your next race against? An electric grocery scooter?

Re: Kawasaki Ninja vs Titan

What is that flash of light from the bike at the end of the run? Is that something that caught on fire and dumped on the track or just an optical illusion?

It's likly either a discharge from his Flux Capacitor or he overheated his warp drive.
