I was challenged!

I was challenged!

My brother took his F150 to the dealership to get something worked on, and a big car crew owner was there, Extreme Fords. They tried to recruit him, but he said no. Anyways, the owner goes on and they end up talking about a 1997 F150, the owners. He says it has pullies, headers, tune, intake, and an exhaust and says its fast. He says the titans aren’t that fast, and wants to race me. Do you think I will win? Hopefully I can race him by next weekend because I will be out of town this weekend.

Thanks

Re: I was challenged!

Why bother with another turd? You know you'll beat him.

Re: I was challenged!

It's hard to say, I think so but you never know what they have under the hood till after the fact if then.

Practice your RT's and may the best truck win and if you race for the fun of it you can't lose.

Re: I was challenged!

I say go for it too. I use to own a 2001 Super crew Triton V8. I thought it was fast at the time, until I got beat a few times by a stock Chebby 5.3 The only fords that can compete with you guys are the HD's and L's.

Re: I was challenged!

Go race him for fun, not for the glory of the Nissan badge. Try and keep the gloating modest when you smoke him.

Go for it. At least you get challenges, around here I can't find another truck to run.

Under-estimate a stock F150? Never!!!!...I always give them half throttle and sometimes let them catch up so I could see their look of awe.

Re: I was challenged!

Newer ones are weak but be careful, some of the older may be sleepers..
I work with a guy who has a rough looking old '73 F-150 SB with a 429 and that thing will torch most trucks on the road.....Looks are deceiving....

My friend is evil because of this. he has a 1993 Dodge cummins single cab 2wd, has a sunfaded sleeper on it, rust, etc...but has about 450 rwhp right now. It looks like a older farm truck but moves like a sports car.

Back to the thread at hand....you'll stomp him. I had a 1997 furd work truck...my '97 XE hardbody had more jam...lol
