titan vs gmc vortec max?

I know its not a Chevy, but i raced a 2006 3/4 ton turbo diesel ford last fall we were rollin at 60-65, and all i know is when i hit 100, i saw his headlights in my rearview. this was before any mods to my truck

yeah and that race was only to 60, imagine the full 1/4 mile, i sure both trucks would have pulled alot more on the domestics. i was shocked that the all mighty hemi was second to last only beating the ford.

Im not sure about that. With my 5.3 and a ton of mods (still N/A though) my truck ws way faster than a stock SS, which is pretty much the vortec max motor right? I really like the silverado SS's but they are slugs from the factory. My titan with a drop in filter and muffler swap beat 2 ss's over and over at the track. They had intake exhaust and one with a cheapo handheld hypertch flash. They really start to make their poower with cams or a custom tune. Ive had similar results with the max. Remember their TQ managment is programmed as horrible as ours. It feels more like a towing motor compared to the 5.3 untill you start diggen in. Then your time is a quick as your wallet will allow
