War StoriesThis section is for discussion of any races you may have particpated in. If you smoked someone like a pack'o'cools, let us know. Likewise, if you got beat... let us know by what, so we can keep an eye out for it next time.
Anybody with half a grain of sense would understand quite well that all Mustangs are pony cars period. Cheap BASE models you are right (V6 Mustang, Camaro, Challenger...) but lots of options for bigger engines (GT, Cobra, SRT-8, Z28, SS). Keep this in mind, Dodge refers to the new Challengers as pony cars too...even the $40,000+ SRT-8 version.
Oh NLOC is for Ford owners who give the brand a bad name huh? So is that why you have 1500+ posts there?
man get a life.

yeah so anyways, back to the topic, theres a guy on tundra solutions that has a crewmax (the big cab) 5.7L tundra thats hitting 14.7 stock. pretty sad the new f150's need a s/c just to get into the 14's.
The trd s/c just came out for us and it puts us at around the same hp/tq as this one, however that puts us at low 13's, MAYBE, high 12's.

The Ford GT is NOT a pony car.........Are you trying to tell me it is in the same class as the Mustang GT??? This car was built to contend with the 'vette, Viper, Benz, etc cars on the market. NOT to contend with the Camaros, Trans Ams, Chargers, and other everyday sports cars you see on the road.
I love the GT and wish Ford would have been a little more patient with the design but as of now.....The ZR-1 is king

he's talking about the gt500 mustang not the ford gt. both will get beat by a zo6

Regular cab. Crew max would probably be low to mid 13's. Regular cab 5.7's run anywhere from 14 flat to 14.2 stock, so imagine what they'd do when the TRD S/C puts them at 504hp and 550tq.

anyone have one installed yet? Wonder how the rear and tranny are going to hold up to that amount of hp/tq.
GT500 is the fastest car in its class (you know of any other pony cars with 500hp?) and the FGT has run 10.8's stock on factory rubber which makes it quicker and faster than the C6 Z06 and Viper which are the only comparable domestic sports cars.
where did you get your numbersaccording to car and driver and road and track the mustang gt 500 is a low to mid 12 second car. zo6 is 505hp and about 700 lbs lighter than the gt 500 no way the gt500 beats a zo6 stock to stock
How is the GT500 a "Pony Car"??? The MUSTANG GT IS A PONY CAR!!!!!
Anything above that (Cobra, Mach, GT500 etc) CANNOT be put in the same class. A pony car is a vehicle that your EVERYDAY AVERAGE JOE can go buy at a moments notice. The cars I listed above take a little more cash to obtain.
I guess I am old school when I think Pony car
The three main "pony" cars are : Mustang, Camaro and Trans Am (BASE MODELS ONLY...NO SPECIAL MODELS)
On a side note.....I can see that you are loved here . Stating FORD opinions or Facts WILL NOT CHANGE ANYONE'S MIND ON A TITAN BOARD!!!!
Just a tip for ya

i dont think you know what you are talking about any mustang is a pony car. thats how it got its origin pony car mustang, horse name get it. the pony car rubbed off on all others because it was easy to do. the mustang was the first pony car.

should hold up fine, it comes with a full warrenty as long as toyota installs it, and a 1 year warrenty if someone else does it. everything is forged and pretty solid, or so im told.

4x4's are a little slower, and if you leave all the traction control stuff on, it really slows you down. I turn everything off, havent been to a 1/4 mile yet but i did a 9.175 in the 1/8. Im putting on the headers this week that have been sittin in my garage for 2 weeks. hoping to break into the 8's.
