Titan Vs. G37

The battle started about 3 lights prior when I noticed this car weaving in and out of traffic. So being the nice guy that I'am....when this guy got up to me I blocked him in between myself and another truck so he couldnt go anywhere. I backed off and let him pull in front of me and when he stood on it I did also, staying on his rear. He pulled to the right lane and I pulled up along side as the light upcoming was red. So at this point im thinking its on! We slowed to around 15mph while rolling up to the light. Light went green and we both stood on it. Our reaction times seemed almost identical. We were side by side till around 60mph when he pulled a half car length on me. I shut down at 75mph and at that time I was looking at his Infinity emblem and exhaust thinking how awesome his car sounded. My windows were down..taking in the last of the cool nights in Phoenix. Pulled up next to him at the light and gave him the "nod"...he rolled his window down and said "Gas is to expensive to be racing these days." I laughed and replied, " Yea, look at what im driving. Your telling me" Then the light turned green and we peaced out and went our separate ways.

I felt pretty good about how the titan hung for a while. I must outweigh that car by a few thousand lbs. Hope you enjoyed the race recap. This was my first battle since buying my titan.

Re: Titan Vs. G37

Maybe he had san bags in his trunk or was running on two cylinders??? I have a 07 G35 four door and I can tell you I cannot keep up with it in the Titan. Not even close. Maybe if I had an uprev tune, headers, intake, exhaust and a squeeze of juice I might have a chance. Then again, I'm a 4X4 with intake, exhaust and 2 degree.

I tend to agree... I have an 04 G35 Sedan and 05 G35 Coupe and they are both quite a bit quicker, especially at higher speeds. The new G37 is awesome.

Sort of, I photo shopped the personalization. Back when I had a Mustang I was planning on getting a supercharger so I just kept the avatar.

Re: Titan Vs. G37

He must have been rolling in 2nd gear when he stood on it. You should have seen tail lights well before 60 mph. I saw a bone stock 2007 G35 sedan (still had paper plates) run a 13.9X at the track. That's a full second plus faster than a stock titan. No contest...

They are ALL automatic anymore... Only manual option you get is the slapshift or paddle shifters....

Re: Titan Vs. G37

I guy i go to school with has a red G37s, we always park next to each other because we know both will respect each others car and dont slam the door in the side of the car next to each other.

anyway there is no way i would come even close to that thing in a race.
