The Tundras don't seem to be responding to mods as well as the Titan does but only time will tell and like you said, I have no idea why anybody would pay what they do for a Taco and try to make it quick when the Tundra is just begging to go to the strip fully stock.

Then again we have some guys that probably do the same thing with Frontiers so to each their own I suppose and I know a lot of people think I'm nuts for running a full size truck at the strip, lol.
Ok i know this is waaaaay off topic, but what is your fetish with the snow tires? You live in FL for retirements sakes.

It's a quest... a sort of "because I can" thing... And to say he's the first to hit 13 seconds in the 1/4 in full street trim on snow tires is quite an accomplishment....no?

Wow, nice to see a (mostly) civil thread between a group of people who simply drive different trucks. Welcome to the site.

As for the looks of your Tundras, I still can't figure out if I love it or hate it. Sometimes I see one it does nothing for me. Then I'll see a black 4x4 crew cab (like my Titan) and I'll think it looks damn good.

I understand. It's just different to have that direction, especially someone from Florida.

Yeah it seems more proper for sure. Instead of a free for all pissing match in a urinal trough, it feels more like guys waiting in line at the urinal and flushing every time.

It just kind of evolved due to that fact that originally, nobody would give me more than 100.00 for them and they wanted me to ship them so in the shed they went. I pulled them out after I started racing and did the burnout mod, I put a couple on the back and because they stick pretty good when heated, I just left them on there for cheap burnouts.

After the initial racing and continued mods, I realized that unless I changed the power delivery a bit, I wouldn't get consistent launches on them so I started changing the power delivery to accommodate these skinny, rough tread tires.

They aren't really sold as snow tires but rather All Terrain but since they are skinny as well, I just started calling them snow tires. Necessity is the mother of invention as they say and due to the fact that I didn't have a lot of money to blow on tires and all the other records were taken, I now have the only truck in full street trim on snow tires running a 13 second quarter. It's silly I know but so is racing this pig, lol.

Seriously though, 14.5 is really not bad at all for the S/C Taco, do they have any pully swaps, tunes, and blower swap options? Sure for the money you can get allot faster, but they are decent for what they are.
s/c tacos are in the 13s. my times are n/a with headers intake and maf calibrator. we have just in the past few months gotten a couple more options like a lighter crank pulley, lighter flywheels and better clutchs.

if you run the trd supercharger, there is one pulley out for more boost, it adds 1 maybe 2 pounds putting your near 6-8#s. if you run the urd supercharger, you can run a smaller pulley, pushin 9.5#s. They are both able to be tuned with the help of the Map-Ecu2 piggyback thats out there.

There are definately better times out there in our trucks, but the driver side of the equation really comes into play with out 6 speeds.

And a side note, i didnt come over here to talk a big game like I'll run all over the fastest trucks here. I came over to find some friendly competition, and learn more about what your trucks can do in what form.

best time right now with the TRD supercharger is 13.8 @101. most of the supercharged trucks are in the low to mid 300s, and are averaging right at 14 flat in 1/4 times. Once they stop being a **** and run drag radials, im sure that time will come down as the low end torque is to much for the light rearend of our trucks. they all complain about no traction, yet non of them have taken the steps to overcome this yet.

Ya'll need some good ol boys who sit around and think of better ways to make speed, instead of high school kids buying go fast goodies on ebay in hopes that it works.

we do, but they elimnate wheel hop, turns all the hop into wheel spin, and without a better set of tires your still gonna sit and spin with no traction.

with all the technology in motors these days, things like cams and stuff for our engines are probably far ahead in time. VVT-i kills options as of right now. There are companies that will make internals, for $3-4k.

it's not the vvt-i i dont think. its the platform more than anything. aren there other vvt-i platforms with go fast goodies? its just like the titan market, slim pickens at first. but thanks to a few members hard work and determination the industry saw hope in our trucks finally. just hang loose and hope for the same for your trucks.

[quote=HawaiiTitan]Weclome to the site jaxchrisfla, lots different makes truck owners here that get along well, most of us welcome people with any make and model as long as thier cool and respectfull.

This is a very true statement! I've been on here a while and have been treated well by the Titan folks, I tell all non-Titan owners to just remember this is a Titan Forum and we are guests on here and should act accordingly, follow that simple rule and these guys will treat you well too
