yeah your average run of the mill 5.3 is gonna take a beating from your average run of the mill titan that's for sure! most people out there aren't into putting all kinds of work and money into their trucks. i'd say that 90% of the people out there won't even go past an intake, exhaust and maybe a tuner.
oh and the link didn't work for me either.

His is still stock, so it wont even be close. But soon he will be putting Intake and exhaust on. Then it will be alittle closer but sounds like i will still take him since i have the same hook up. Plus i have the 2* timing. What else can i do to make my beast faster? And im not taking the Banks off.

Its the 6.2 with the 6/Speed. I was under the impression that the Denalis were faster than that. I know a tuned 6.0 can be a monster and would beat most lightly modded titans but I cant say the same for the 5.3, just havn't seen a fast 5.3 yet I guess.
I drove an 08 GMC SL1 this weekend as my buddy was checking out the truck market. Stock for stock, I would think the Titan will handily beat the GMC/Chevy. Both the Titan and the GMC/Chevy are nearly identical weight for the extended cab versions. Power is similar but you will have nearly a 50 lb-ft torque advantage over the 5.3, not to mention the odd power management of the GMC/Chevy has and their 4 speed tranny.

He guys, new here but can contribute to this. I have a bone stock 05 2wd king cab. On stock street tires against an 07 5.3l Silverado 4wd with a hand held programmer it was a pretty close race. 5 runs put me up on three of them running 15.6's in the quarter @ just under 90 mph. With your mods shouldn't be as close.
