well guys come the 27th of september i will be entering my truck at the sand drags and hopefully win a little cash. they break it down by catagory and my will be the v8 stock class which means your only able to run exhaust no headers only catback, intake, chip, and thats it. if you dont know what the sand drags are here an example of what ill be doing. this is here locally at the previous event.
looks pretty cool, will you be running in 4wd?? don't they only race for like 300 ft or so? i knew a guy that used to race a banshee in the sand drags. it had like a 10" extended swingarm, air shifter, nitrous, etc..... it was retarded fast.

I love sand drags. I like uphill drags also. The problem is that not that many trucks can hang with the Titan. The Titan is light compared to other trucks and has crazy power.

my duramax ran 300 feet in 5.7 seconds in the sand blowing all 4 tires away the whole way down the track. its a fun time, way less worry about breaking something. not trying to burst your bubble but if its your first time dont expect to run the fastest time of any truck you see there. the seasoned guys will hand you your a$$. thats what they did me even though my truck ran faster times. its a lot of skill and setup in the sand. i got beat by less power diesel trucks because they got better traction from not spinning
also just so you know it only looks like 300 feet. the bronco with the sweet rooster stops the rooster tail right past the camera

i was thinking that an 1/8th mile sounded kinda long for sand drags. i think driving in sand for that distance and speed would get pretty scary.

point taken havent raced my truck but i have raced my quad in the 4 stroke quad class. but come the 27th the TITAN will hit the dirt with other v-8 who pretty much have the same set up maybe..... the mods are on my sig which is pretty much what is aloud in this class any more mods like headers then i jump to another class which i dont even stand a chance. But one question do you guys think i should put my stock tires and wheels back on or leave my aftermarkets they do weigh it down a bit but i may have better traction with the toyos. give me some feedback. also i will be airing down to probly 10psi front and back and i also have the trutrac for better traction. FEEDBACK GUYS

i would leave the more aggressive tires on there for traction and weight. if you can run some warm up runs (i assume its bracket racing) start with about 20 psi in the tires and see how it does. if you blow them away then you can come down more. I think that was my issue (air pressure too high) dont know if you have air there (we didnt) so you dont want to go down to far depending on how far you have to drive to get air.

not very far.......i have my own air compressor so ill just fill back up before i leave the sands. its double elimination so loose twice and your out. i would really hate to start off at 20 psi then loose and only have 1 life left

Looks like a lot of fun... last year, I heard about a local drag in my area too... found a local sand drag website and might have to check it out this year, coming up very soon...
Can you like go and try it out, before the race see what works better... I would leave the new wheel and tires the titan looks so nice, that even if you would loose you still look badazz doing it.... here in SA we have some mud races.... but is not all that
