I will say this, it's not a Vortech Max, but I did race a Denali truck several times at the track. I ran a 14.5 with intake, exhaust, Uprev, and Tru-Trac, he ran a 14.7 with just a programmer that he was tunign while he was there. Said he ran a 15.0 bone stock, I'm sure 14's is possible. Of course, I believe that was the 400+ HP 6.2...Last time I raced him, I hadn't seen him in a while and he ran a 14.2 to my high 13. He didn't have an exhaust either. I'm guessing he ran the 14.2 with an intake and good tune

I got picked on my some kids in z71 vortec max. They got a slight jump on me from the light then I watched their jaws drop as I came along side and pulled a little over a length on them. I'm in the turning lane taking a left and they pull along side, I rolled down passenger window and the kid said (with a real heavy country accent) "Whatcha got in der t-boy." I responded with "a tune and a few other things" He then asked if I wanted to run again, so I told them to follow me and I'd be ready this time.....they didn't follow. He had loud exhaust but don't think he had any other mods.
