Re: Helping a buddy out!

I wonder where the OP is at?? He hasn't come back and answered any of our questions or posted any pics/vids of this car.

We will be lining them up soooon, well i guess i can let you guys know for real and not some printout specs. btw, you have failed to mention that it can all but sometimes come down to the driver and cold tires.

There is no cold tires in an sti.

You're going to get your *** handed to you. If he has an upgraded turbo, he would've done intercooler too. And you shouldn't even bother.

Sounds more like he upgraded the boost, not the turbo. Probably just a cobb accessport custom tune. Also he must've never launched the car for you right? That alone would impress you.

Re: Helping a buddy out!

Yeah a stock wrx with a good driver that has a pair and isn't afraid to do a hard awd launch will destroy a titan. And you sound like you're about as full of BS as the OP! So you're trying to tell us that a guy in a 400+hp (if it's a fully built wrx as you say with 20psi) wrx was impressed by your titan and that you don't think his car is that fast?!?!? Are you retarded or just REALLY full of BS? What mods do you have done? You must have the stillen s/c AND a custom turbo right?? Along with your crane cams and edelbrock heads right? A fully built wrx would pull close to 15-20mph faster than a semi modded titan in the 1/4. That's the equivelant of driving next to a car on the freeway and then just slamming on your brakes as hard as you can.

Re: Helping a buddy out!

i knew that rant would get you guys fired up!!!!! but for real his car is very fast and is rated around mid to high 300hp, and the car came with the orginal turbo in the trunk and the one that is hooked up is definitely bigger. i actually was the guy who taught him how to drive and launch the car. poor fellow, he bought that car with full mods and he didn't know how to drive a stick. can't blame him for buying it, it was on my list of dream cars as well. but we will line them up just to get a laugh, he will get a kick out of that!

Re: Helping a buddy out!

So he's running a bigger turbo and the stock intercooler? That would be the dumbest thing ever.

Waiting for you to tell me it has a massive front mount, or that is really stupid.

Re: Helping a buddy out!

it has a upgraded intercooler(blitz i think). didnt want to waste the time typing up all the mods. just painting a quick picture of the car.

Where they really shine is autox or road racing. More autox, with that power and traction they are like freaking lightening bolts whipping around the turns. Never seen one with a REALLY good driver, but even with poor to mediocre drivers they are at least mid pack, but higher usually.

WRX/STI is/are formidable for sure and nothing a lightly modded Titan would touch.
