Embarrassed a Ford and got pulled over and met a cool cop!

I was driving on 10 , going through Baton Rouge the other night and a lowered f-150 comes screaming past me, followed not to closely by an escalade that was apparently trying to keep up. I merged onto the 12 and stayed at the speed limit. The douche bag in the ford, slows down and starts driving weird, changing lanes for no reason. I pull up along side of him, but I don't want any part of this scene. He starts jumping on the throttle to coax me into it, but I just drove on like normal. He has to get over to the right one lane to pass a car and he stays even. I'm in the left and need to get over to the right to pass a slower car. I put my blinker on and slowly start to merge over, but this @sshat lurches over into the lane, and I narrowly miss him before moving back over into my lane. I punched it and he did too, but it was too bad, so sad for his "little engine that couldn't. I hit 120 and shut it down, only to see blue lights in my mirror. The cop said "looks like you were getting a little sporty." I said yeah and told him about the other truck. He asked me for my license, but I didn't have it. I gave him my Boeing badge, and he looked at it and gave it back. Then he said,"these trucks are quick, but they ain't got wings. Don't be trying to fly." I said yes sir. Then he said he was hoping I would have gave him a run for his money. He was in a police Tahoe, and he said he had a chip and headers and some other stuff, and that he'd got it up to 137. I told him I could probably get near that. Then he said goodnight and I pulled back onto the highway and left. I was definately doing the speedlimit then. Then he pulled up beside me and got on it a little, then turned off into the median. All I can say is, AWESOME.

Your so lucky you dont live in CA. That same story on the 10 freeway in Cali might have cost you your truck. Seem like the cops out here are nearly as cool.

Re: Embarrassed a Ford and got pulled over and met a cool cop!

HAHA good thing he wasn't running radar on you, he probably would have been a little more stern. But none the less he was a lot nicer than some. Reminds me when back in September 2004 when a Hurricane was about to smack into West Palm Beach FL. I was working down there at the time and was headed home in a hurry before the storm hit. It was about 1am North Bound on the Turnpike. I was cruising at exactly 92mph (as fast as my Jeep would allow cruise control) when a set of undeniable Camaro headlights caught up to me. I figured it was a state trooper and he had me dead rights so I never slowed down. Then he decided pass me, pulled up next to my left side and sure enough it was a trooper. He rode next to me for about a mile (goes by fast at 92mph) and then he just start leaving me. He was in a hurry too I guess.

BTW Good Kill!!

I think he was a deputy sheriff. I was driving through Thursday night, to go to MS. I was supposed to drive back there Saturday to go to the game but I took a nap and overslept. (I'm still kicking myself). So I just drove back to TX on Sunday. Btw, there must be alot of tiger fans that live in TX. I drove back with alot of them.

Re: Embarrassed a Ford and got pulled over and met a cool cop!

Im 99.9% sure you got pulled over by the same guy I did on that same road. He was cool as crap, same tahoe as you described chip and headers, exhaust, intake, etc.. I was coming home from LSU after school late one night around 9 and was hauling as because I had homework I still needed to do. So I went to merge on 12 and he hit the lights, he asked me to step out and walk towards his tahoe. Then he asked for my license and asked if he knew why I pulled you over. I said I have a good idea, guilty as charged no excuses. He said right answer since you were honest with me I wont write you for speeding, changing lanes without a blinker, merging unsafely etc.. I dont agree with the unsafly merging but I kept my mouth shut. He then told me that I wanst driving like that when I took my driving test so there is no reason to drive like that now. After that was out the way I asked about the tahoe because it almost sounded like it was cammed. It had a slight lope, but apparently it was just headers. We talked a minute or so and he said that the side of the interstate is probably not the best time to do this and I agreed and we went our seperate ways. Nicest state trooper I ever met...

Ive defiantly never seen that truck in your avator. Im a junior right now but still have 2-3 years left. Taking 12hrs a semester has a lot to do with that.

cool deal, i'm a junior too. still have about 2 more years though because i'd like to get my masters in accounting. most of my classes are in CEBA now though, so i always park in that lot...may have something to do with why i've never seen your truck around before.
