Report: Titan Will Live On Without Chrysler, Says Nissan CEO
Nov 16, 2009 - 2:54 PM - by Administrator

Somehow Nissan will bring a successor to the Titan pickup truck to market, although it's not known how or when. In an interview with InsideLine, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn said that the Titan will remain. "Titan will have a replacement," he said. "We are staying in the large pickup truck market."

The next Titan was expected to be a rebadged version of the new Dodge Ram, but Chrysler canceled plans for that project shortly after emerging from bankruptcy protection.

That being said, Nissan may continue to use an updated version of the current Titan's platform, which also underpins vehicles like the Armada, Pathfinder, Xterra, Frontier and Infiniti QX56.

SEMA 2009: The Trucks of the SEMA Show
Nov 12, 2009 - 3:18 PM - by Administrator

A big part of the SEMA Show each year (both in terms of quantity and, well, size) is the truck and off-road industry. Some trucks get lowered suspensions and some lifted, some run on supercharged 4-cylinders, while others rely on massive turbocharged diesel units. Yet despite all that divides some truck lovers from others, they all seem to equally love to modify their rigs – often to the extreme.

We've gathered together a collection of all (or almost all) of the trucks at the 2009 SEMA Show for you to peruse. We also explored some of the trucks in more detail, including the Dodge Ram Bianco, DeWALT 2011 F-Series Super Duty, the new 411-hp F-150 SVT Raptor, the Toyota Tundra Hot Rod and the Chevy Silverado ZR2.

You can find more on those trucks at: SEMA 2009: The Trucks of the SEMA Show on AutoGuide.com

Tokyo Auto Show 2009 Preview
Oct 19, 2009 - 3:17 PM - by Administrator

As Japan's largest auto show, the Tokyo Motor Show will be somewhat smaller for 2009 than in years past as no foreign automakers will be displaying or announcing new products. Still, the show will hardly be empty with Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Suzuki all taking advantage of the more centralized focus on the Japanese auto industry, with most of the automakers introducing numerous new production and concept cars.

Some of the most highly anticipated launches include the Lexus LF-A, Honda CR-Z, Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept, Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV, Mazda Kiyora Concept and the joint Toyota-Subaru project the FT-86 Concept. We'll bring constant updates will official unveilings happening on October 21st.
