I have the Pro-4X with heated rear seats and test drove a Pro-4X with the 360 View. As much as I wanted the package with 360 View and the cooled front seats, I needed the towing mirrors more and the 360 View isn’t available with the towing mirrors, best as I can tell.

Interesting. For the 2017 or 2018?

I looked at the 2017 trim comparison and options sheet before looking at dealerships.

I felt 41k +TTL out the door for a 2017 4x4 PR was the tipping point price for me. What's funny is my wife didn't think I would buy it (even though it was the price point I held out for on for 7 weeks). I am a very stingy consumer. I don't spend a lot and all my cars I have beat into the ground doing all maintenance. My non turbo 1995 300zx I had for 13 years until 550k. Only sold because it didn't work for our kid on the way and I got the frontier from a family friend used at 105k in 2014.

Frontier only had 140k when I did my private sale after getting the Titan. First time in my life I upgraded just to upgrade as I really have wanted a full size truck my whole life.

A lot of people got killer deals on the SV CC and if the dealers in NorCal came close to some of the deals I've seen on the other trims I may have gotten a lesser trim but the PR is very awesome.

Normally a truck without the badging looks very plain but it works great on your truck. Not sure why. May be due to the two-tone look.
Thanks! I had to do some deep digging on the Nissan parts website but I finally found the correct part numbers (62256-9FT0A for the right and 62257-9FT0A for the left). They run between $80-$90 a piece depending on which site you buy them from. You could also take the part numbers to you local dealerships parts department and see what they run. As far as color, they only come in black but can be put on any color truck. They are SUPER easy to swap out, just a couple of tabs on the back and pops right off.

Thanks. Too bad. Was looking at the Gun Metal Titan and hoping that color was available.

Good for you. Now Iím kind of mad. I spent time with the configuration tool online and didnít see that it was possible and the dealer confirmed it wasnít possible. And since it made sense based on what Iíd found online, I didnít pursue it further.

Not surprised.
I find most consumers know more about the vehicles than the salespeople.

I always assumed it was the salesman not wanting to tell you that you can get the vehicle you want if you just leave and go to their competitor. They don't have the vehicle you actually want on their lot, and if they admit you can get it elsewhere, their chances of making a sale go down.

Certainly it's that, but more importantly they just want to sell you what they have on the lot right now, and screw everything else. Even if you promised to buy a special order truck from only them, they don't care. They don't want to wait. Making the sale right now is much more important than actually selling you what you want.

I hear you !! Messed up bigtime when I downsized from a Tundra to a Tacoma. I kept telling myself that it was easier to navigate, better on gas, more practical, blah blah .. ,, the truth is it was a car with a mini bed and very cramped ! The backseat (dbl cab) was only good for a little storage (gym bag) and not much else. I would haul company (over two people) only for short around-town type trips, it would be torture to drive people 3-5 hours like say LA to Vegas. Very blessed and happy to back in a real V8 full-size truck !!!!

The dealer I went to actually sold the truck I was going to look at earlier in the day. They did however go to bat for me with a killer deal and made a dealer trade to get me the truck I wanted

Re: What was your reasoning for going either SV, SL or Platinum?

Oh ... and I went with the S model because no chrome and no carpet. Love the utility feel and the fold up middle seat/armrest better than the center storage bin. Although both styles are killer ! I did have leather seat covers made and to me this truck is perfect now ! This is also my 4th charcoal grey (gun metal) vehicle which is my favorite color! I did try going silver (on the taco) but found myself missing a bit darker contrast.

I wanted silver and would have been my 7th silver truck in a row but my kids and the Mrs said please, anything but silver so I picked gray until I saw the blue one parked next to the gray and blue won.

Re: What was your reasoning for going either SV, SL or Platinum?

I went for a Pro-4X. You can get all of the good stuff (cooled seats, leather, tow mirrors, heated steering wheel, etc.) from a PR and also get all of the good off roading stuff (locking diff, hill decent control, skid plates) that only comes on the Pro-4X for closer to SL pricing. I have used the skid plates on every vehicle I have had them on, my last ones were orange and gouged, so I won't buy a vehicle without them now. The Pro-4X has that nice skid plate up front instead of the air dam so it looks better too. Pro-4X also has a body color grill so you don't get all of the ugly chrome up front. You can also get it in two-tone or monotone. IT also has the best looking wheels from factory.

Just my two cents worth.

Disagree! I much prefer the look of the air dam over the skid plate.

Disagree! Chrome not only looks better than the painted version, but it's also tougher and cleans up better

Disagree! I much prefer the 20" PR wheels and the 20" wheels on the SV Chrome

Agree! I spoze that's why Nissan makes different variants.

It's all good ... I'm certainly not saying you're wrong, to each their own of course, and I'm glad Nissan makes different versions.

Remember the salesman is a salesman, heís not a car guy, he just sells cars. We the buyers are very focused on the vehicle we are planning to but and know many aspects of it. I took my collector car to the dealership once and the customers were like hey, great car but the sales staff couldnít care less. To them a vehicle is as exciting as a t-shirt is to a clothing store, just a way to get your money into their register.
