Step Bars

I’ve been trying to do a little research but wondering if anyone in here can confirm. Will step bars/running boards from a first gen Titan fit on a 2018? When I looked it up on a parts site I came up with the same part number. Thanks in advance!

Re: Step Bars

For a Crew Cab - Yes they will fit, but on the first gen trucks, where the steps mount to the body of the truck, there was a stud on top, that you put a nut on, and a threaded hole on bottom for a bolt. The 2nd Gen trucks have two threaded holes for each location, so depending on what the steps come with, you may need to go buy 6 or 8 new bolts and flat washers.

Not certain about King Cabs

I have 1st gen king cab steps on my 2nd gen king cab XD and they fit fine.
As stated above, you will have to get some extra bolts. I believe they are M8 bolts.

Re: Step Bars

Anyone seen aftermarket deployable steps for the Titan? My mother is having a hard time getting in and out. We're doing some rehabbing of her place and I'm taking the truck to her place more and more lately. She has a really hard time getting in and out even with assistance. I'm thinking about something that would allow for a maximum 6 inch initial step and then disappear under the existing side steps.

I wonder if you could rig up one of the steps they use under the back bumper to work for your mother. It would be worth looking into and might give you the extra lower step you need.

Yes...I used to have the link to the site saved but apparently deleted it and can't find the site right now. Someone here on TT had installed them...that's how I found the site originally.

Found it:

Re: Step Bars

Thanks for this link. I will call them and get more info. This looks like exactly what she needs. Got to find out if this step would get to 6 inches or less off the ground though. I have the standard side steps and they seem to be about 8 or 9 inches off the ground making it just outside her ability to step in unassisted.
