Re: Another promise broken

What else is new?
He made his campaign smearing Bush's spending, and outspent Bush's 8 years in 2 months.

He also promised to end income taxes for seniors making under $50,000, and would eliminate the need for them to file an income tax return, but it seems to have left the conversation.

He promised open debate on health care, and subsequently held it behind closed doors.

He promised to recognize the Armenian genocide, yet failed to bring it up during his discussion of historical events in Turky last year.

He promised withdrawls from retirement accounts without penalty, yet just like the senior income tax promise, was missing from his big bill and budget.

His promised $3,000 tax credit for small businesses has never materialized in his packages.

He promised to reduce earmarks (to $7B)... Yea, those are over $10B already.

He also promised no increases in deficit. Yet immediately set a record high.

He also promised that when a couple files for bankruptcy, they can have terms of their home modified. His own democrats turned on him on that one, and voted it down.

He also promised to double funding for after school programs. Yep- the budget is the same as it was last year.

He also promised no more lobbyists that work on items that help their prior employers. No surprise that there have been several waivers granted.

He also promised five days of public debate before signing ANY bill. Off the top of my head, an abortion bill was signed on day #2 in office.

He also promised to "immediately" direct a campaign to research cancer. Nothing doing.

He also promised to require competitive bids on all government contracts worth over $25,000. Yet in all memos, guidelines, and requirements Obama has since produced, no such requirement.

Surprising he breaks promises? Nahhhh...

Here's one that can probably be added to this list before too long: "No American making under $250,000 a year will see any form of a tax increase".

Re: Another promise broken

It takes more than one for a promise to be broken: the a$$hole who makes it, and the idiots who believe it.

Yes it was if in fact it was a racial slur, besides, Obama's just another Elitist cracker from what I can tell anyway only this time, with a really dark skin tone and an in your face attitude when spouting his Marxist ideals. The previous white dudes on the Hill were up to the same things and although it was advertised differently, they have all "redistributed" the average citizen's wealth to their Elite buddies in the Federal Reserve and International Banks as well as the Corporatocracy.

I find it ironic that the first so called black President is getting it from both sides of the racial spectrum though and he's not white enough for some or black enough for others and has been called a house or porch Negro by blacks who appear to be the most disappointed or angry of all. I think many blacks thought they were were getting Shaft in the White House but instead, ended up with a half black dude who has more in common with George Bush and Bill Clinton than Richard Roundtree, lol.

The racial argument is stupid and reminds me of the Democrat vs Republican argument because like the Red vs Blue bullcrap that has permeated the political arena in this country for longer than the black vs white fight, they both make no difference to what's actually happening and at the end of the day, the result is the same for the average citizen who will suffer under any color Elitist Progressive.

It doesn't matter what skin tone or Party affiliation a Progressive is because from the ultra pigment impaired Presidents like Woodrow Wilson and Teddy Roosevelt to the darker variety like Obama, they are all flaming Progressives who are bad for individual rights and the average person's wallet because these Marxist azzholes have no respect for the Constitution or the freedom and independence loving citizens they swore to protect it for.

I suggest sticking to the Progressive, EnviroNazi, Marxist, New World Order azzhole insults which are quite enough to disparage any of them endlessly without ever bothering to badger their ethnicity or Political Party which, in the end, have no bearing on their Progressive actions or the resulting enslavement of what were once free and independent citizens until most of them turned into ignorant sheeple dyed Red or Blue.

Re: Another promise broken

^ I agree. I can't stand the idiot, but it has nothing to do with his skin tone. It has everything to do with the fact he's a Socialist and he's driving our country to ruin.

Look, I can be prejudiced sometimes, I think we all can. But I'm prejudiced against action, which is a choice. If you act like a punk, then I will blow you off. If you act like you want to do the right thing and make something of yourself, you're welcome to eat at my table anytime, whatever the color of your skin.

As far as the President, I have no problems with a black man or a woman being President. I just wished they were on the same side of the political spectrum as I am.

But, calling someone a disparaging remark plays right into their hands. It allows them to use race to their advantage, while belittling their opponents as narrow-minded hillbillies who cling to guns and religion.

Hate a man for his actions, not for something over which he has no control.

Re: Another promise broken

Exactly, I dislike Obama based on his ignorance, and blatent disregard for what our country stands for.

Unfortunately, the only people making this into a race issue is the black community.

I kindof wanted Connie Rice to run... I would've voted for her.
