LED Lighting Conversion Project

All,
I thought I would share with you the progress on my LED lighting conversion project for my 2017 Platinum Reserve. So far I have completed the fog lamps, reverse lights, tailgate lights, interior dome lights at footwell lights. I have been extremely pleased with the results. The new LED lighting really enhances the look of the truck.

Re: LED Lighting Conversion Project

Yeah, finding the interior bulbs is proving to be difficult. Can you provide links to the interior bulbs as well as reverse lights?

This. I can pull mine out and check the type but if he already has this info it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: LED Lighting Conversion Project

Dome lights take the 31mm, right?

What about the vanity mirrors? Do those use the same bulb type as the dome lights?

Hi everyone,
I thought I would share some night pics of the LED high beams I used for my conversion. The pictures attached are taken with LED fogs on in low beam. Great ground coverage with them. High beams do a great job of flooding the area at distance. Both put off a perfect white light.

Looks awesome! Thanks for posting. I ordered the dome lights and footwell lights. Unfortunately I have an SV with standard halogen headlights and no DRL so I'll need to go with a different low beam/high beam combo. Having a hard time actually finding real feedback and results from more than just 1 or 2 people who went with LED lights in their SV.

On the map/dome lights does the entire light housing just pull down and snap into place or are there some hidden screws I'm not seeing? Don't want to pull too hard and break something.

The clear plastic light cover pops out. Use a flat tool along the edge.

Re: LED Lighting Conversion Project

So, for the fog lights you used the H4 bulbs? I've seen somebody else use the H11, so I want to confirm which are the correct ones to buy.

Thanks

Yes, I used the H4 and have been VERY happy with them. Plug and play and a 5 minute swap.

I like the high beams and want to do the same but i read on the xd forums some guys weren't replacing the headlight bulb access cover correctly due to the large size of the led highbeam bulb... Without the access cover in place water can get in and cause the lights to malfunction..

Were u able to get the cover to fit properly after the led bulb install?
