So my friend's wife backed into my titan, but luckily the damage appears to be only cosmetic.

Her insurance company assessed the damage and cut me a check for $1700.

Being that the damage is only cosmetic, I figured I could make some money if I fix the thing myself. I can get a new bumper, fender, and used headlight for $175. Both the fender and bumper are primed and ready to paint. My question is, how much will it cost to have these painted?

you might want to check the bumper support too they are pretty soft and bend and crack easily. Paint for the cover will be .5 hours and the fender any where from 1.5-2.5 hours. most shops around here are charging 50-70 an hour for paint.

You might wanna buy some new tires with that check.

had to replace a bumper on my 05 armada when i had it because the carwash backed out an turned it into a poll the cost to replace it was almost 700 for the bumper, cover and paint, that was from the stealership, good thing there insureance paid, so it should be cheaper from a bodyshop, that fender isn't looking to good either so you might need a new one too. i think 1700 should cover all of it with some cash left over.

also that headlight is about 430 from the stealership i know i just checked because one of mine is foged up, but you can get one alot cheaper online, i just ordered a new one for 100 shiped. hope this helps out.

He already has all the parts for $175 which sounds like a steal. I would imagine paint in the $150 range since it's white. Seems like an easy fix!

Thanks for all the replies.

I'm glad I didn't go to the dealership for parts.

I got a new, primed fender for $116 shipped. A used headlight for $20 shipped, and a new primed bumper piece for $35 shipped. All on ebay.

Hopefully I can buy some new tires with the extra money.

I got my bumper corner piece matched in Metallic Black from bare plastic for $200 at a local bodyshop; and could have been $150 if I went to some of the more mexican places that I don't quite trust their paintjobs. you should definitely have a bit of cash left to spare at the end. unfortunately, when I did this, my little piece between the headlight and the bumper corner never again fit quite right, it sticks out now maybe an 1/8 of an inch at the corner of it =\
