We do need a set of B-pipes flanged for a Random technology converters, with 02 sensor bungs. Then, wire harness extensions also. To be legal to run these in PA, CA, others, visual inspection is required also. So, many of us will need at least 1 set of CATS with appropriate O2 sensor bungs.

Could we use the secondary Cats and weld in a hole after the exit of the Cat? I have to crawl under there and see whats what.

A shop can weld pipes for you guys when you install the headers using the existing secondary Cats. just through out the primary ones. I wonder if you would still get lights with only 2 Cats???

yes you can use the second set of cats and weld a bung after the cat and itll eliminate the codes. i tried it and it worked but i go to the track and my best numbers so far are without cats.

I don't recommend sending fake signals to our computer and our rear O2 sensors are doing a bit more than some on other vehicles, this is what has been observed with UpRev logging anyway.

If you remember, Stillen had to go to a Bpipe with cats and real O2 sensors rather than emulators with the 07's because of codes and I still think it's a bad idea even on the pre 07's based on the UpRev logs.
So its best to get rid of the emulator box if possible? I have the headers and the b-pipes from Stillen, but I was going to get the cats removed. I want what is best for the truck, but at the same time I don't want to throw any codes.

I do love my Toyota, but I love making parts for all makes!! And you also have to realize, I am the engineer, not salesman. I don't make money from selling product. I make it from designing it. I consider myself to be a enthusiast and a real gear-head. You can google my screename and see what I have done for many different types of vehicles. Even motorcycles. I understand the criticism on the subject, and expect it until I get a quality part on your truck, only then can we be judged.
From one engineer to another, appreciate your attitude!

Now lets get this puppy to fab and then on our waiting trucks! Haha

I was told that the 02 sensors will just hook back up and work fine with no codes. I was also told the retail price on these....Ummm lets just keep our fingers crossed for one HECK of a group buy price or there will be a few others like me that are going to rethink getting these.

Thorley isnt going to tell us they are going to be priced in the $600's then release them at something higher than that.

Im pretty sure they will pull this one out. With the economy the way it is, everyone's business has slowed down and with lay offs things take longer to produce. I will be speaking with them throughout the day to see if we can get an update on the headers.

Thanks. I think at 600 to 700 these are a grate deal for ceramic coated long tube headers. If the performance numbers are on par with the nismo's they will be like half the cost if you factor in the ceramic coating.

you will still have to re-locate the second 02 because the primary cats have the 2nd 02 after the Cat for monitoring it. So you need Stillens B-pipes with the cats in them with the 02 bungs installed to make it work like OEM.

Well, we do already have 2 cats in the B-pipes, they don't have sensors in front or back because they are just after Cats. I would think that you could drill 02 bungs behind these Cats and be done with it. My only issue is the flanges on the stock B-pipes may not be that great. I know mine are rusty, so I think I am going to either have a shop weld me up a new set with universal Cats that have an 02 sensor port in the rear. This should be cheaper than Stillens pipes.

Well if you have a pre-07 2wd Titan, than those things in the B-pipes are just resonators, thats why in those Titans you would need to replace those resonators with cats, and you can buy the cats with 02 bungs already welded in them. Like me I put LT headers on my truck, and since I'm a pre-07 2wd, I now have no cats. I have the 2 resonators in the b-pipes and had some HF cats with the 02 bung already in them. But I ended up selling the cats and just have the catalyst (check engine light) code on all the time now.

OH, I thought those were after-cats. I have an 04. So the close-coupled cats are the only ones? interesting. I see now. I have never opened that yet having the stock piping and a flowmaster.

Thanks for that information,

I hope that we get a good group deal on these things. With the credit crunch, I hope people will still get in on the deal.

I've been trying to get ahold of my guys over there and they have been slammed with new R&D work so im still waiting on getting GB pricing.

As far as those being the headers, i dont believe those are them.. I dont think they would put something that isnt in production yet onto their website for sale.

promotional uses???
