Im looking at it from a little different perspective.

Im not naive enough to expect huge performance increases from a filter change, but ive seen paper replacement filters for the Titan at the auto parts store costing around $30 that are good for a couple years, where the k&N can be cleaned and reused for a lifetime, and i already have the cleaning kit from previous k&N filters, so it starts to look like a better value in that regard.

Sorry man but INJEN SOUNDS BETTER....
never said that AEM sounded the best or was better than injen... now did I?

Sounds good. What does it rate on the butt dyno?
IDK how it felt on the okd butt dyno but with the intake and superchips I got down to high 14.7's and low 14.8s on the quarter (sigs out of date) so it must have helped some. But you know louder is always faster.

all i hear is exhaust.

I hope you do realize you will lose power down low, where you drive like 99% of the time. At least according to the manufactures dyno sheets anyway. I would do the home intake box mod and save your $300
that is with a stock exhaust so its a good reference point as far as sound goes. And I wouldn't see you losing low end with an intake because your adding air. This isn't exhaust where you lose back pressure with a bigger tube. Why do you think the PGM guys gain so much down low? all they're doing is adding more air...

Ok enjoy your filter.:bangit:

Injen says they, "Tune" those intakes. So I assume they are tuned for stock specs? What if your adding extra's like a TB spacer, bigger throttle body, under drive pulleys, exhaust, programer, etc.... Does it still adjust? I had a AEM Brute Force corner box on my Chevy and the mods I had, had it sucking for air so hard the filter wanted to collapse, and it whistled.. Sounded mean, whenever I had the hood open people would look at me like WTF? This is my new toy and I'm looking for an intake... Is the Injen oil less? Is there a duct box available to pull air from outside the engine compartment like a Volant? I'm not worried about the cost....

Its right there on AEMs very own dyno chart, power losses down low compared to the stock air box. Not just down low, but the majority of the entire range except up top.

I was on AEMs homepage yesterday breifly and i coudlnt find the dyno sheet, but i saw it in the past. Its probably out there somewhere.

The Injen Powerflow uses the Amsoil Dry filter. When they say "tuned" lol, they mean some research and development was done so you can enjoy better airflow without sacrificing any drivability or MAF issues. Youll be fine with other mods.

Injen also said their intake added 35 hp.

dont get caught up in all that marketing crap.

yes, you can add whatever you want. It doesnt have to adjust. its just an air filter. really, thats all it is.

Volant is not that bad once it's all put together. I've seen worse. I got a volant, because it was one of the cai's that had a plastic tube instead of metal. The chrome look is nice but most guys wrap it with heat shield anyways. I would say for the price the volant is a good buy. It is a dry filter too. Also was my most notable performance gain besides WOT.

I like my Volant alot. I got a powercore filter for it........they are maintenance free for 100,000 miles. Good luck in whatever you get!

Yeah, that is what I meant at the time I said it. A sound clip of the injen is what I was implying.
mmmm ill see if i can get on later today...lol as soon as it aint too hot cause i hate it outside right now...lol

Injen...ordered mine from Grip Motorsports...$335 to the doorstep! Comes tomorrow!

great deal. i got mine for $150

new or used? where'd you get it?
