looking for an ipod mount ideas.

I plan on picking up this setup.

and i have an 80g ipod video (not the touch)

I want to put a holder for my ipod in the truck. I want a short holder that i can screw to the cap where the 4X4 knob goes, and will hold the ipod just below the AC vent. Im thinking this location is still viewable, but kinda out of the way, and not as obvious to hoobligans.

was thinking one of those clamp style holders but i need one that doesnt have anything on bottom since i need to plug in the cable.

Just looking for ideas, if you have a similar mounting setup, please post up pics and what you used!

I was trying to think of a way to do that before I bought my new double din. I wound up buying a mount that plugs into the lighter and has a flexible arm that holds a base that charges the ipod and has a short cable coming from the base that plugs into the aux. I'll sell it to ya if you want it. I don't have any use for it anymore

i have one of those that does FM and it sucks. it wont hold the ipod and every time i turn it flops around. also i cant reach the pod from a comfortable sitting position and have to keep leaning up to do it. i want to mount it so i can see it, and use the included remote in this set to work it.

Thinking about that the other day, going to try just some velcro on back of the IPod and mount it on the 4X4 spot, I just use a nano fro traveling.
