Had run in with a pole in WalMart parking lot. Several vehicles were parked illegally in fire lane causing a city bus to have to park diagonally at the bus stop there. I was traveling down the road in front of the store and the bus pulled directly out in front of me as it could not use its mirrors because of the angle it had to use. I had to either hit the bus or avoid and I didnt see the pole immediately. It was a concreted sign pole which "was" 4 ft in the ground. When the smoke cleared I checked the Titan. Decent dent in skid plate, pole shaped dent in chrome bumper and absolutely no other damage. The pole was completely uprooted from ground. I had to post this in response to many of the posts complaining of various small problems etc which had overrun this site. I AM IMPRESSED with the way the Titan held up. The airbags did not employ and I am told there are 5 sensors along the bumper and two have to engage to fire the bag. $499 for new bumper and hammer out the skid plate and a quick powder coat and were back in business. :rollingsm :idhit:

Missing pole!

Terry,
A light pole was reported missing in front of a Wal-mart the other night. Hmmm....
Sorry to hear about your accident. I had the mis-pleasure of being hit at an intersection myself. The other drive ran the red light directly into the front of my Titan. Her Honda Accord was no match for the Titan. She was traveling about 45MPH and never hit her brakes. My air bags did not go off but her's did. I'll share my pictures with you. I agree, the Titan held up great but there are crumple zones in the front frame extension. I highly recommend crawling under there to look at everything more closely.

Best of luck with the repairs.
The better news is; no one got hurt!

Yeah, I will check. Brake TSB being done on MOnday and I'll have them check it all out. I wasnt going very fast so I doubt any other damage. The entire chrome bumper piece is not even shifted anywhere along the line where it meets the bonnet. It wasn't a light pole but a small concrete pole that held a handicap parking only sign. Thanks for your post and I hope you guys are all right also. Happy Holidays.

I don't know what it is about Hondas. I got rear ended by a Civic about a month ago. Broke my prop that I keep in the receiver hitch. They carted off the honda. Poor kid, someone cut into his lane and he moved in behind me to keep from hitting some jaywalkers. I bought him some lunch while we waited for the tow truck.

The FHP really liked the truck and kept looking for my damage. He asked me if I wanted to trade vehicles. As much as I like this truck I would trade anytime for a FHP cruiser. As you would expect he backed down from the offer.
