Ouch. That is not good. I don't know if there is a fuel shut off anywhere on our trucks. What year? Is the ignition worn or anything? Worst comes to worst you can pop the hood and disconnect the battery (somebody chime in if this is a bad idea).

Pluck the fuel relay out of the IPDM.
If you don't know what it is, just pluck stuff until the motor dies.
YOu can't hurt it.
Disconnecting the battery won't do it.

not sure about the switch. Im not that mechanically inclined. Just got dark.
It turns over. I know its bad to do that while the engine is on. The.accessories turn off when i.turn the key to the.off position.

But wouldn't disconnecting the battery break the circuit?

hope you got it to shut off. Good luck

Battery unhooked it would still run off the alternator. Agree with the Pope. Pull a relay or two out of the IPDM.

And there's RobKar with that handy dandy little diagram!

To me it sounds like your ignition switch is the issue. :dunno:

Okay. I stand corrected.

To me is sounds like a stuck relay ... but could be the switch as well ...

You might be right, Rob. The OP mentions that in the start position it'll engage the starter. Or at least I think that's the way I read that post.

Damn that was inconvenient! Thanks for all the replies. Had an appointment and had our newborn with me. Baby was going CCCRRAAZZZYYYY, the truck wouldn't turn off, and I had a appointment but couldn't just leave the truck running. Figures the one day I am in the ghetto area the truck refuses to turn off. I just ran in with baby and rescheduled.

So, had to get gas in order to make it home. Pulled into the gas station and tried to turn off. It turned off for a second and it turned itself back on. Weird. Drove the rest of the way home, got in the driveway, got the info pulled up on my phone to turn this crazy truck off. Turned the key off and the it shut off like normal!!!!! What the hellll??

BTW I think a Titan Talk App would be SWEET. Anyone ever looked into that? I was thinking about that as I was typing on my phone. This site is the best when it comes to issues. Almost always a few fellow titan owners surfing.

I would replace you IPDM relay ... at least swap it for the fog light relay for now .

You cant get the relay from Nissan ... Yet. There is a recall coming but I am not sure what part they are replacing.

You can however purchase it from me . $10 each and shipping is included ... Send me a PM if you are interested.

For anyone who looks up this thread for future reference switching the Relay did not fix my problem. Truck worked fine turning off and on for 2 weeks after the first problem. Swapped for the fog relay. Same issues...All weekend I've had to unplug the - battery cable and IPDM relay to turn it off.

Would this problem set off the Check Engine light as well? My titan has been getting on my last nerve. Window motor issues, Speed sensors in the front going out, heater has been taking about 20 minutes to decide to heat up. Had to replace a tow mirror. Front differential is gone. Good grief!! A different truck is starting to sound more and more appealing, which is unfortunate. I want to love this truck again.
